Field of Dreams by James Horner on piano

Capturing the mystery of a voice in the cornfield, the longing for a father, and the American timelessness of baseball, James Horner's score for Field of Dreams is a triumph. Listen for Hornerisms like simple chord changes and one-note dissonances. Largely absent are tubular bells or flute over-blowing. The whole album has some good guitar travel music as well as some swing for the old timey ball players.
James Horner is one of my favorite film composers - this won't be the last time we hear from him in April.

Good work. The only people I’ve ever seen play that far lowest C on the keyboard are little kids reaching up and pressing on the keys while a grown-up plays. I’ve never seen in played in an actual song!
