Great video! Having previously owned a Luxe X, Shocker XLS, CS2 & Geo4... I love how my Force feels in my hands and the way it shoots & points. The only thing that sucks is that there's screws galore holding everything together compared to other high end guns and is not as easy to completely to do a 100% disassembly

I am getting back into the sport after a 15 year hiatus. I owned timmies, angel lcd, AKA Excalibur, Defiant, etc back in the day. This marker reminds me of those older style markers. I don't mind needing screws to access the innards of my markers. It's something I became accustomed to years ago. This reminds me of the old DM's, the old shockers, and older geos. I think Yosh and company could easily mill this marker down to bare minimum and lose 8 ounces. The reason they probably didn't do it is because the Nucleus engine has a bit more kick than other spool engines on the market. If they milled off more material you're probably going to feel that feedback from the shot a lot more. More than most tourney players would be comfortable with. But it would be much lighter so I think worth the sacrifice. The fact that these markers WILL NOT chop paint in the breech is amazing. Utilizing the 4C eye system from the older BL line was very smart! The chase for crazy efficiency just doesn't make sense these days. 9 out of 10 fields will have all day air and most guys worth their salt will have a way to prefill their (more than one) tanks prior to arriving at the field. I would 10+ pods on a 77 is good enough considering how the engine is so easy on paint. The force is a very nice marker and the screws don't bother old school players like me. I do think Yosh should mill these bad boys down to the minimum of material needed for strength and release the Force 2.

I like mine a lot. It’s not perfect, but it’s a first generation marker so I don’t expect it to be. It won my heart over a CS2 or an LV1.6 simply because I love the ergonomics of it so much.

Hello, well done with the review. I too have a Field One Force. Like you said it has a unique shot and while it’s heavier than all of the other tournament grade markers. It’s definitely a pleasure to shoot and the weight isn’t a problem. Nice add with the maintenance part. You don’t see that often in a review.

Arguably the best shooting gun available and it’s probably the softest on paint, but man it is overpriced. Shouldn’t be more then 1200$. They’re averaging around 1700 right now, some editions are 2,000.

Honestly, the Dye DSR+ is such a killer marker for the price. I have one and it performs just as good as any high end out there.

Use non ball end to break free, use ball ended to remove quickly. The ball end is NOT the torquing end. People just don’t understand that.

To me tool less markers equates to flimsy markers. I like having to take things down with a tool. Feels sturdy and well made. Like it’s not going to break off during a slide or something.

@@ThePBFit The good thing about paintball these days. Is that, there are so many options. You want tool less? Well quite a few brands make tool less. When you get into the high end marker market. Everything kinda boils down to preference. They will all pretty much preform the same. Ya know? That’s my opinion at least.

i love the battery option. see, i hate the rechargeable batteries, but i love dye. i got the m3+. somehow, someway, my USB port on the gun got fucked. i'm on my way down to the paintball field trying to charge my gun with the phone charger because i live 90 minutes away from the field. but NOPE. i can't even try to plug that thing in. my $1600 paintball gun is dead in the water because of a USB port. (dye is fixing it. i'm taken care of, and it will all be fine soon.) i played with my shocker AMP. i could have got a DSR or 170R or wide variety of anything as a backup, but i just like shockers. i have always had a shocker in my bag. that field one force would give me the best of both worlds. i could charge my battery, or replace my batteries. or both. whatever.

Shockers are amazing shooters. I’ve shot them for years and absolutely love them. I agree with you tho! I think it’s awesome to have two options. The more, the better.

@@ThePBFit the shocker is great. but it doesnt fit me like a glove. the dye m3+ feels like home. it's a part of me. then i play with the shocker and i really like it because it feels thin and small and shoots super smooth and all. the shocker feels like a high end paintball gun. but the m3+ feels like my freaking soul. idk, it's hard to explain. i'm a dye super-fan-boy i guess. the m3+ is my main, the shocker is my #2. i really do enjoy both of them.

It’s too different to say it’s rebadged. The engine is similar but they made a bunch of changes to soften the shot. Efficiency took a hit but the marker is smooth as butter

No. Field One purchased equipment and IP from Bob Long. The same engineer that worked on the Victory, G6R and Insight platforms (Jason Henley) was behind the Force. Don't get caught up by some of the visual similarities, such as the can, ram shaft, shutoff and bolt - they don't function similarly at all in terms of the forward stroke, reset and solenoid. Hence the Force's subpar efficiency vs. the Insight platform's excellent efficiency. The Force, however, can go much longer between lubrications thanks to its slower bolt speed, fully supported forward stroke and use of U-Cup seals.

That thing is a half engineered Bob Long Insight. It’s a motor upgrade, kinda, from a Bob Long Insight that was abandoned halfway through development because Bob jumped out of the sport and had to sell his company suddenly. Then it was “finished” by someone else and put on the market for a crazy price tag. Besides the motor, what else is it? Everything is the same…. hell my Insight has the 4C laser eyes also, just some different milling, slightly different motor/bolt, batteries and re-arranged regulator.. I bought an Insight slightly used for $400, this thing is what.. $1,600? That’s bull. These teams are bummed about “working so hard” and not being paid for it like in other sports such as Baseball or something, so… they’re making YOU pay their salary by overcharging you for this marker that’s made by a company that’s owned by a team. You’re not getting a $1,600 marker, you’re getting an $800 marker and then paying the members of Dynasty to play “professional paintball”, don’t fool yourself. There is a reason they dumped support for all of Bob’s old markers, they don’t get $$$ for it. This “force” brings them money. Look how long Tom Kaye supported the Automag and everything else Airgun Designs made, but a 10 year old marker Field 1 says “sorry Charlie, buy a Force!”….

I own both and can confirm the Force is an Insight with some perfected tweaks. I love both, you can find used Forces for around the $900-950 mark though. I actually own two insights. The insight is a GREAT buy right now. They do require frequent maintenance but I clean mine after every weekend of play anyways. Bob guns get a bad rep cause they require some regular maintenance. People are either too spoiled with their PE markers that will handle the lack of maintenance more than others will or they are simply just lazy.

@@axledog7297 I own both. The function of the engine is the same just with a pressure differential. I.E. the rear chamber for the gas acting on the rammer is much more constrained and doesn't recycle the otherwise wasted gas. The Onslaught/ Reflex engine uses a MAC 2 Way bullet solenoid and manifold. the Force uses a 4 Way solenoid feeding a volume reduced area at the back cap to the bolt's "Ram" ( what DYE would call a bolt sail). While the airflow is reduced slowing the bolt's forward momentum via less surface area and a redirection of gas left to expand? *Functionally they are identical.* The Onslaught/Reflex engine was / is the fastest spool valve ever made and the MAC 2 way "Bullet" solenoid instead of immediately venting to atmosphere wasting gas cycled that gas into the pulse which fills the dump chamber upon firing? the residual gas that is not being used to propel the ball is then vented to atmosphere out of a small hole rear of the grip frame. This marker has a 4 way solenoid which takes regulated gas to do the same mechanical goal, but instead takes fresh regulated air from the Rhino piston assembly to reset the bolt. This action is both slower and less gas efficient. The tradeoff? The force is super gentle but you're not getting that many shots out of it.

Uh. Er. Idk it seems like a downgrade compared to a bit of other markers. This seems like it should be like original shocker maybe shocker xls price point.... this thing is heavy. Absolutely zero tool less design spare the bolt... the oled. Well it’s a shocker oled... it’s chunky. Sounds kind of loud. Have yet to shoot one but I assume it shoots kind of like an ion or possibly a techt dump valved 2011 rail..... (they shoot tits... just techt lies about quiet a few things and I’ve gotten them to admit to it). The only thing I can really see that sets it apart is the 4C Eyes. Overall solid marker. Just overpriced... like a few things that were released a while ago in pb 👍🤣

I feel like the "problems" people have with this marker are the same concepts as a Formula 1 car. Yeah there is no sound system, yes the ac is almost non existent. No you don't get a bunch of safety tech and gps. For those who plan to win a race those things do not matter and are gimmicks. The same goes for someone who just needs their marker to do its real job the best. Thus Dynasty happily made a marker for their level of play.
