The Boom sounded amazing on Saturday night. The acoustics of that stadium are outstanding too. I've been going to games since around 1982. I have never heard ANY band sound as good as the Boom sounded in concert formation on Saturday. It was breathtaking. The video's sound does it no justice. I am not a band guy.

The one thing that made me fall in love with the Boom is the Fanfare Blowing. I have yet to hear it this year.
@vecarter569Ай бұрын
The last 2 halftimes have that fanfare incorporated into SWV "Rain". When they performed at the ESPN BOTB, they incorporated it into Usher's Superstar. People seemed to love that melding of Blowing with that song. So, they seem to be experimenting with blending some traditions into new ways to showcase them...or throwing surprises into how they showcase longtime traditions. Just like this is the first Tiger run-on in the season...

In my opinion announcing the run-on diminishes it. It needs no introduction.
@bibbiana4LyfeАй бұрын
Haven't they always announced it? The 160 beats per minute part?
@DMSR76Ай бұрын
@@bibbiana4LyfeNot necessarily. Dr. Jimmie James would perform his adjectives bit during the starts and pauses of the death march. The band would then storm the field as he announced their name. The beats per minute would be implied by the percussion section during the run-on.
