Detroit River Walleye Report

Report from 4-17-2024. The walleye are hot and heavy in the Detroit River. Here are a couple tips, locations, and colors that we used to catch a morning limit.

I don't think there's a more recognizable part of the river, than right there! Pulled 8 out of that stretch on Thurs. last week. Hit it again Mon morning...smally...drum...drum...white perch...belly hooked walleye lost at boat...drum....drum....drum. [fart sound]

@@FIELD2FREEZER I'm new in the game. I've been on a couple charters over the last couple years, and picked up a little bit. The 2 times mentioned were my first times on on our own (finally got a boat that's big enough to be comfortable on bigger water), acting as "captain". I know it's getting late in the season and I have a lot to learn! We'll get started earlier next year!

Can catch them in the muddy water too.... You don't have to follow all the boats theres fish everywhere just get it in front of a hungry one

You call it a “report” but start with the classic “I’m not gonna tell you where” on a river that is loaded with fish with visual landmarks everywhere. 🤣🤣🤣
