Why do most PHs use a CZ Safari or Brno ? Do you think they are stupid ?
@i.o.35634 жыл бұрын
Not at all. They just need cheapest Mauser action.
@Nick-wn1xw5 жыл бұрын
For a dedicated dgr that rifle would not even make my top 20.

I feel the same. Its not even a CRF.

Old man does not realise that Mauser type Controlled feed sction is a MUST for dangerous Game .
@nothanks35903 жыл бұрын
why? the PH will shoot the animal if he misses or his push feed garbage rifle has a mishap. nothing dangerous about "hunting" anything in africa. hunting moose on your own in alaska is more dangerous than anything these trophy hunting clowns do.
@davhuf34962 жыл бұрын
@@nothanks3590 Have you hunted African dangerous game?
@nothanks35902 жыл бұрын
@@davhuf3496 yes i have. but i wouldnt call it hunting. the trackers do all the hunting and the PH does all the thinking. the client( me ) just fallows along and does what the PH says and nothing more. the PH literally tells you when and where to aim and when to shoot. the good parts about that type of hunting in africa are the experiences you have in camp and when you get to interact with the locals. but dont fool yourself into thinking you are doing anything dangerous or special.

Walk into a river where 5 grizzlies are feeding with your rifle. I’ll pay to watch.

An M1 Garand in 458 win mag, and a Browning BAR in 416 taylor would be fun to take to africa. Never the less, a cz550 in 416 Rigby or Rem. Mag, highly modified by AHR, would be my first choice. Considering the price to performance value, it MIGHT be the best choice. Not nearly as expensive as a Dakota, a GMA Mauser build, or all the British "best" guns. But the buffalo, lions, hippos and jumbos will not complain. All they worry about is a 400 grain bullet @ 2400 fps.

If somebody could only make a semi-auto of these dangerous-game rifles
@mikespies694115 күн бұрын
Semi autos are not legal in most African countries.

Real men carry single shots! Just kidding , I would love a SxS early with exposed hammers . 375 H&H would be just fine.

Why would taking brake off make it quieter? Doesn't make sense
@hansblitz77707 жыл бұрын
It does on some brakes. They redirect gas back and to the sides (where others are near the shooter) So, not technically louder, but it directs the sound to the least desirable places for a shooter who has others near.
@paulhomsy27517 жыл бұрын
While taming recoil, brakes increase the noise decibel very substantially. Besides Petzal explains this in the video...
@idleonlooker10785 жыл бұрын
This guy is right. When hunting African DG, everybody is right beside you - a muzzle break damages their hearing. PHs HATE clients who use rifles with muzzle brakes!
@kevi1525 жыл бұрын
If you must then use a good silencer not a recoil reducing muzzle brake.
@nimst37 жыл бұрын
Lots of unqualified opinions here. I guess we should tell all the European rifle makers to stop adding multiple rear sight blades to their double rifles. Also, if I'm hunting dangerous game with a bolt, I want CRF.

Try 400-yard shot with a 416 versus the 375 H&H
@idleonlooker10785 жыл бұрын
Why do you shoot DG at 400yds? DG are usually shot between 40-70yds. Shooting at 400yds means you're NOT hunting DG.
@leaddispenser95 жыл бұрын
@@idleonlooker1078 yea but why not....
@i.o.35634 жыл бұрын
@@leaddispenser9 Why shooting animal on 400 yards? You may go with paper target at this range just as good. The thing in DG is to stalk it and dispatch at a close range. You don't wet your pants shooting at charging lion laying 400 yards away of it. And that kills all the fun of DG hunting.
@lavanice Жыл бұрын
But why can't we hunt DG over 300 yard

I like .416 Rigby for a bolt gun. Also….. life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun.
@nothanks35903 жыл бұрын
save yourselves tens of thousands of $$ and just go grab a cheap 30-30 at your local gun shop then go to the nearest cow farm and pay the farmer to walk you out into the field and wait for him to tell you what cow to shoot and when and where to shoot it. dont worry, if you miss and the cow charges the farmer will shoot it for you. same exact experience and same exact "danger" as what this clown had shooting a buffalo.
