Fieldcraft Survival Owner and CEO Mike Glover gives a detailed overview of the Fieldcraft Survival Mobility Bag. Mike Glover designed this bag himself and has perfected it over the years, always looking for ways to improve functionality and purpose.
Mike was once the first responder to a car accident that involved his friend, and when he returned to his own vehicle to grab medical supplies, he had trouble removing the medical pouch from the molle that was attached to the back of his passenger seat. That was when Mike thought of the first Fieldcraft Survival Mobility 01-02: GoBag.

So ex-medic and nurse here - worked a lot with various aid bags and this is a great start, but I know from experience all those slides in scissors, etc. all fall out and just go all over. Why can't any bag maker just add velcro straps to secure? Thats my only issue, with most civilian and military-style go bags. Also, there is no place to ever slide in a splint ... I want my pouches for pouches and I want my splints to stay flat and separate. Good start, but the reality is, this is more like an infantry-style pouch system which I would just attach to a vest and hang on my seat ... or put in my bag. Hope the input helps since I think your really trying to do some good here!

yeah I use a short piece of shock cord, 5-6", and knot one end at the tip of the cord and the other end without a know. I slide the shears into my PALS webbing on my PC or chest rig back in the day. Loop the shock cord through the pals and through the handles and secure it with the cord slider. It won't come out of your webbing until you yank it out. The end of the shock cord without the knot slides free and you have your trauma shears in hand. Usually the shock cord stays in the PALS webbing, but at that point I'm not really concerned about that. I've used this on my plate carriers, chest rigs, and rucks for years. I bought 50' for next to nothing along with a bunch of slides. Different colors etc. The Bro I bought it from at Down Range Gear is no longer in business, but if you search you can find the shock cord and those sliders with the push button release. It's secure but not so secure you can jerk it out of your kit.

These mobility packs for seat mounting are a great alternative to the Greyman Tactical RMP but one suggestion. Make the logo on the cover not so big. Or even better a velcro patch so it can be removed if you want lower profile.

Next gen needs a full length ballistic panel! With the way things are going, I keep an armored back pack with all my supplies in my truck. 3 days worth of get home to my family and lo vis. I’ve been looking into one of these panel type things for my work truck while I’m on the jobsite cuz you never know when you may have a guy cut something his wasn’t intending to (ergo fingers, leg, arm). I really dig the option of it becoming a go bag!!!, but I prefer to have an armored panel.

I will totally by this if it comes with basically a "hydration pack/ballistic panel" section between the exterior of the pack and the interior of the pack.

My GoBag is set up for first aid, basic survival and firepower and believe me living as close to Portland OR as I do I need it all on a daily basis. Lucky for me though I am relocating to the SW US in 3 weeks but I will still have my GoBag in the Tacoma. Great product Mike that will see many years of use

I’m waiting for the fully loaded option to come back in stock. Those things sell out fast. The large zipper pulls make sense. On the first aid pouch, it might be helpful if they were red (the same color as the first aid cross) to make them even easier to spot when I’m in an emergency situation and amped up on adrenaline.

Working on integration for my first mobility today. For a V3 I would request that all the smaller bags have a strip of soft velcro 9n the outside, which would allow for moral patch style labeling. My old smitty built Mille panels have pouches that have this feature so I had patches made and or integrated Prometheus Design Werx pouch labels for even faster and more concise labeling. I am immediately missing these on your system. If you do go this route please make the pouches available separately so 8 can swap these ones out when they land. Thanks fellas and great product overall!

Great bag and well thought out. I like it, and might have to get one! What if you had one pouch for CPR mask (resuscitation), a pouch for first aid (band aids, ice pack & such) and trauma (CAT TQ, quick clot, 14ga needle, etc) b/c all three components use very different equipment and supplies to achieve care to self or others. I feel like you never want to dig into your trauma pouch or resuscitation pouch just for a couple of 4X4s and band aids b/c your kid scraped their knee. I bet a Sam splint could fit in that longer pouch on the bottom! Great job on the pack design!

One suggestion, Mike: consider alternating velcro on the larger pouch - set up the back of the larger accessory pouch with hooks on one half and loop on the other half, and the inverse inside the primary bag. Set up the top of the primary bag the same way, with hook on the Med pouch and loop on the accessory pouch. Here's why: the two smaller pouches will now stick to the back of the large accessory pouch and that can be carried as one unit if need be. As a bonus the two smaller pouches will only stick to their respective sides of the main bag, and the larger accessory pouch can only be stuck on when oriented upright. This minor change adds function and makes sure everything is always where it should be.

Thanks for not going too Tactical!! I’m Marine, not active, looking for gear I can use in civilian life with low profile! I drive ride share, (in a socialist Commonwealth) and have people in my vehicle all the time! I used an old molly med bag, on the back of a Smitty molly seat carrier, that the Corpsman carried when I was in! It worked great, but got lots of comments!! The Desert tan Jeep Wrangler they were getting into was really cool, but the tac gear was offensive, 🙄 and started issues one too many times! I’m looking to go more James Bond with accessible gear and not start fights with clients! Your bag is an awesome fit, that I plan to grow with!! Thanks!!

I love it. As a civilian i have a different perspective than you. as an Eagle scout, i share the preparedness mindset and have had it since I was a kid. The fact the bag is not FULL just got you a subscriber. i HATE when i see go or BOB packs stuffed to the point the zipper wont work right. If your bag is already full, you cant grab extra gear like a coat or bottles of water. even going on a vacation i pack light or bring a stowed pack i can bring stuff home in. I have the idea we all should prep, sure. but prepare for 5 minutes from now when ya need a snack, an hour from now when you get a head ache, and tomorrow when you loose your glasses. zombies or an active shooter are irrelevant if ya cant see and have a blinding headache.

90% of typical life saving equipment usually comes in their sealed plastic baggy. That's chest seals, guaze, ace bandages, anti-biotic, the list can go on. The rest? You have zip lock bags for that and I highly recommend you zip lock bagging things in a group. Like one bag is for little ouchies like bandaids which aren't typical sealed because they are not meant to be used for critical trauma care. Separate the most used stuff with the least used stuff. That way the stuff you will probably use 99% of the time, especially anti biotic and alcohol swaps and bandaids sit on top. You can use that for your children. And the critical care stuff can sit in the bottom(usually a lot more expensive) secured and not disturbed, even by accidental ripage of the seals because you are trying to pull stuff out and things got scrambled. Just a little tip from someone whose been taught by subject matter experts. Edit: Long story short, the most water proof bags aren't as secure as basic human ingenuity. Anything with a big hole no matter if it's zipper or knot tied, gets things inside of it when you keep opening and closing it. Things will only be weather proof if you make sure your sealing layer is never disturbed. Use little baggies to have additional weather protection.

I’m all about this bag, but having all the print on the front will draw the eyes if carried dismounted or stowed on the seat with a vehicle that has no tinting. I guess you could make the case for someone who doesn’t know your vehicle and needs to access aid quickly. Just something I considered.

Check your observational skill level. The Mobility 01-02 bag comes in two variants. The regular bag has the Fieldcraft Survival logo on the outside of the bag. The Low-Vis variant does not have the logo or any markings on the outside of the bag.

I love this channel, but the poor lighting is not conducive to selling gear. The attention to details in the gear bely the lack of attention to lighting.

@@bearskinner2601 Wow! Sorry I touched a sensitive spot. If you couldn't tell, I was serious. What did I say that was wrong? BTW, I've been called a lot worse than a failure and I'm sure you'll have plenty more things to call me.
