What I love about Mike Reid, unlike other comedians and there are many good ones, is that I'm really absorbed into the jokes. It's the way he tells them, his delivery. For me and probably many he's my favourite by far because of his humorous, infectious, natural and fast-paced joke telling. Bloody brilliant. He was born to entertain, no one like him, god bless him for injecting many a laugh for us, great guy!

All these guys on this circuit just stole Bernard Manning’s jokes ! It got worse when he had his own club -.It’s how it was then I suppose - But they all dropped Bernard when times changed and ‘alternative comedy’ came along and He refused to apologise for what they used to laugh at, but then became considered sexist and racist- He considered it hypocrisy-none of the old crew stood by him - not that he gave a shit ! Some of them changed their jokes- They still used Bernards jokes just changing them a bit.My point is that They all used Bernards stuff , got money off it , some got a lot of money and some fame - Bernard never complained about it - he just made new stuff up,. He was the king of this circuit. But none of them stuck up for him - yet alone gave him any credit or praise! . They completely left him to the wolves - but Bernard didn’t give a fuck !
