I just got fieldpieces new mg44 micron gauge. It's awesome.

Is it capable of continuing to pull deep vacuum after long hours of continuous running? All pumps I used were getting weaker the longer they work and the hotter they get. For example first turn with micron gauge attached straight to the pump it can go down to 5 or6 microns but in about an hour its only 100 - 150 in four hors its 400-500. My target is 50 microns in small units only 12-15oz. Will VP87 with sman 480v attached provide me with 50 microns on small units I am working with? Or perhaps VP87 is oversized for my needs and I only need VP67? Please advise 😅

Shouldnt the micron gauge be mounted at a higher elevation so you do get contaminants in the sensor?

Thank you for your question! If the micron gauge is properly isolated when recovering refrigerant or charging a system (we’re looking at you, VC2G valve core removal tool with dual ball valves), then there is a very low probability that the gauge sensor will be exposed to contaminants regardless of placement. If you can, best practice is to position the micron gauge parallel to or above the line set.

When will the dual valves be available? Anywhere I look online is sold out, and most of the distributors in my area of Phoenix has no idea you made these.
