I have a C Crane Skywave SSB, can I monitor and jot down stations that I pick up on Field Day?

You could as a experiment to find out who you can hear. Most of it will be just a pileup up and down the band.

With a week to go, I'm getting excited. And I'm only a Class D. I like hearing the bands so busy. When I was able to operate and lead Class A, I'd arrive at the site in the morning and announce, 'I love the smell of generator exhaust in the morning. It smells like Field Day.'
