I work at a horse sanctuary and I thought that it would be a lot of fun if you crossbreed some of the horses there. Hank-the leopard Appaloosa with faint brown flecks and Summer-the palomino Morgan (creamy white mane/tail).

I’m really curious as to what your process is for the genetics now? I’ve been watching you for years now and I love your creations, and I’ve been following your processes! I roll a dice!! :D I write down the numbers 1-6 and then which color "gene" corresponds with that number based on what colors I can see on the animal and/or I think they should be carrying! If they only have, say, 3 obvious colors then I re-write the first 3 again. If they have say 5 obvious colors then I make the 6th the most dominant or a "wild card" gene for a fun color that could be associated with that animal!

Mix ideas, long comment inbound! Maybe a few Bella Sara horses? Bella and Bello have two kids, but still could be fun. I really wanna suggest Albion and Ambrosia along with Ceratos and Nanna, but those four would need so much CC aaaaa! On a more original note: A silver dapple Irish Cob/Gypsy Vanner/all the other breed names for it with a long mane and tail that's white with Sophia from this herd would be so cute! And maybe it could be possible for her to pass down the unicorn genes from her dad, but it would be a low chance? Just a thought. :3 (Can you tell that the very specific Vanner description I gave is because that's my dream horse-)

Was the unicorn having the same coat pattern as it’s partner but just all white intentional? I feel like the variety in foal coat patterns would be greater if the unicorn had actually been made with a solid coat pattern. Also interesting none of the foals inherited the unicorn feathers. I wonder if they’re properly added to the genetics or if we were just unlucky this round.

When you're someone who knows a lot about horse patterns and coats, you really got let down with what Sims 4 did with coats and how breeding works. Because I sure did. There is SO MUCH, TOO MUCH, to horse genes and coats and patterns.. and they've really only touched on characteristics (the white socks, blazes, and faces) Leopard, Dapple, and Splashed. I think that's it.. I get that sims is limited to the colors and patterns, and you literally can paint whatever you want.. But the fact that the Ankal-Teke (As an example out of the other breeds) only comes with 1 pattern and you have to do the rest to change it is sad.. since the Ankal-Teke can come with more coats than the 1.. So when you breed horses it's only the 4 possible outcomes instead of the breed variety coats like we had with cats and dogs. It's weird how we have Cats and Dogs have such variety, then we have horses that HAVE A LOT OF VARIETY .. have 0 variety.. why change the formal with a different animal with a different pack that costs the same? Not even saying to do realistic genes because Sims can and never will do that, I'm just saying add Cremello Anka-Teke, Black Ankal-Teke, Dapple, all the skins they can be, as a ROSTER for the BREED. Like how the Dog Collies had many different coat patterns to choose under the Collie Breed.. I think we are all sad about this, but I just really want to stress they simply could have treated it easily as Cats and Dogs.. Despite them claiming they did a lot of horse research.. they really didn't.. I know a freaking ROBLOX game that does coats and patterns PER BREED better than Sims 4 did.. 4 Different coats for Mom Ankal-Teke, and lets say 4 different coats for the Mustang.. that's 8 different fur coat foal possibilities, between the 2 mane/tail colors. (if they don't have the same main/tail color) It's sad to me..
