Russia lost 20,000 killed taking ballot (plus 40000 wounded). Karkiv is 7x the size. They brought 50,000. Plus they have to travel 75-100km first. This is impossible. It is only to draw away Ukrainians from other areas until us aid arrives. Ukraine will only get stronger. As its allies ramp up production, Russia has dwindling reserves and cannot replace them as fast as they are destroyed.

The only thing that i can see to what Ukraine military is doing is that their air defense was focus only in a city and never could be found in its nation border. Air defense can cover wide range specially if border serins goes sound when attack is coming 2.5 kilometers away from its border fence.
