Think it's because his ego and attitude far outweigh his ability. His footwork, Jab and head movement are non existent and seems watching his training it hasn't changed. He seems to think throwing 15 left hooks in a row is optimal. He will always get beat by someone who can move and jab.

Not really a fan of Chris, wasted his best years, though I can't see him ever beating an elite level guy.
