You mean give content to a situation that is still unfolding. If someone asks you how many people have died during an on going genocide the answer is bound to be unclear. It took decades for the exact number of the victims of the holocaust and the Rwandan genocide to be accounted for. During the Rwandan genocide, answering the question "how many Tutsi people have been killed"? Was complex if not near impossible to give a direct answer. I notice how pro Israel people love to ignore context and history regarding this topic. They usually just cry ANTi SeMiTiSm!!!

The issue with the “women and children” argument, is that if a 17 year old with a machine gun is shot and killed, that counts as a child death. Hamas terrorist have been known to use women and children as suicide bombers which would also count towards the death toll of women and children. These numbers also don’t account for civilians dead as a result of friendly fire or deaths from natural causes. So to attribute all deaths to Israel and the IDF is just irresponsible

We don't need to keep them as refugees. We can give them citizenship in the region. There are 3 generations of Palestinians in Lebanon living as refugees. That has never happened in human history. UNRWA doesn't allow Palestinians to settle in the region. That's a UN organization keeping generations of Palestinians as refugees. If the number decreased, maybe they could return to Israel. But no refugee was allowed to return to their previous home. They were allowed to return to the country. Not the building they once owned.

My grandmothers people were raped and wiped out by the Japanese during WW2. The Ottoman Empire lost the war, so the UK was allowed to do with the land and people as it will. The same thing happened in the Balkans - a lot of Ottoman people were sent packing as countries gained their independence, and population transfers were normal. My great-grandfather, along with his wife and 7 kids, was transferred from Greece to Bulgaria after we lost land there. The difference is that today - because both Bulgaria and Greece are chill - they even gave us rights to their land back, and we can travel freely. I wish the same for Palestinians, but that future is at least 100 years away from it. You can't launch dozens of rockets at your neighbour every month and expect relations to normalize. You can't launch a campaign of destruction and abduction and expect sympathy. The way out for them is by peace and nation building, not war - they'll never win a war with Israel. Imagine a world where Palestinians didn't launch rockets, bombs, and incidiary balloons at Israel and were super chill for about 5 years. That's a world where Israel would never be able to justify a blockade or an occupation or any sort of restrictions.
