MARK, I just want to let you know your "trip through undiscovered Bangkok" every day this week has HELPED me tremendously in concentrating on something else after loosing my cat (my best buddy of 17.5 years). I have always loved your videos, and was actually one of your VERY early subscribers!!

I have watched so many of your videos on youtube, as a Thai person, thanks to you and Khun Ying for doing so much for Thailand, I believe so many foreigners who feel unsure or reluctant for the decision to come to Bangkok or Thailand would decide almost immediately after watching few of your videos, I love all that you have done so far, in your very own styles, keep going on with great works, I have traveled a lot around too, your clips are all great good 'food guides' for us all, saving us time and risks to go and try eating wrong dishes, regards from Rawai Beach, Phuket, Thailand!

Mark, I've watched you eat sticky rice a few times and I have to give you some advice. Before you dip, you have to ball the rice on your hand and squeeze it in your hands a few times so the grains stick together. This is so it doesn't fall apart in whatever you're dipping it in.

Cool! Somewhere I've actually been! I usually go to Chatuchak Market (actually JJ Mall, beside the market) for the halal Thai sausages (only open weekends, though). OrTorKor's cool as well, I like to watch them peel the durian - unlike anything I've ever seen anyone else do in Malaysia OR Thailand! They actually slice the skin with a sharp knife, everywhere else people force the fruit open at the seams. Hotels have this thing about durian (and mangosteens!) so I only buy one piece to eat there, even though they try to get me to buy a tray. Durian in Thailand are quite different from those in Malaysia - here we let them drop out of the tree, while in Thailand they pick them, so they're less ripe and aromatic there. Still delicious, of course. Interesing factoid about mangosteen - count those little brown "petals" at the bottom - there will be exactly that many portions inside the fruit! I'm WAAAY behind watching this series of videos - not enough hours in the day. But I can't wait to see what's next.

Also there is a food stall that serves you food at the bridge too. I miss Thailand so much and your videos remind me of the good memories I had when in Thailand. 2 years ago, I actually was nervous about going to Thailand because it been 17 years since I went back. I was born in Nakhon Sawan (that's where my mother's family from) and lived in Chiang Mai before I moved to Canada.
