I've read you have to reset the battery monitoring system after you change the battery over. Anyone heard of that??

Never heard of that don’t think that applies to mark 7 sts ?

I have the mk7. Bought the same battery this morning and fitted it. Carried out these steps from firstast forum to reset the battery monitoring system. Battery indication flashed 3 times as I said it would. Car seems to have more power now. Might be imagination but that's for your installation guide. Keep it up. Switch ignition ON, engine OFF (Position ll). 3. Pull and release high beam switch five times 4. Press and release brake pedal three times 5. If successful the charging system warning light on the instrument cluster will blink three times within the next 15 seconds. 6. BMS reset done
