I bought both left and right Superpro lower control arms with the superpro bushes and uprated balljoint for £240 all in.... a little pricey but saves all the hassle of pressing out old and inserting new. Just need to test it now 😂

That reminded me of heating up a bearing carrier on the cooker ring, when replacing a set of bearings with my Dad many years ago. Use of heat/cold when you don’t have a press is very effective.

Hi Steve, the bolt that broke (from control arm to knuckle) is a one time only bolt I believe. Ford's manuals say that you have to replace that one each time. I thought that was unneccesary at first but I'm happy I did replace them when I took out the driveshafts, now that I see this video... Good job on the bushings by the way

Steve regarding your torque wrench when you get a new one i don't know if you do but after each time you use it just before you put it away fully unscrew the handle to take the tension off the spring as i have found out a few years back of an old mechanic that's usually what causes it to malfunction now and again and stops the spring going soft and giving false torque readings.

Always worth calibrating your torque wrench too. All you need is a Vice which i know you have :) some luggage scales and measuring tape and some tape and a pen. There's quite a few videos on youtube which probably explain how to do it better than me. Just search calibrating your torque wrench. But it's really easy and worth doing every so often to make sure it's not gone out of spec.

So I didn't quite understand what you said about a bump steer video, are you gonna make one? I'm really curious to see the results!! I am lowered and stage 3. Under full load in a slight bend, if i hit a bump the steering goes to the inside (of the corner) like crazy, like the car is all over the place so i'm trying to correct that... so these extended ball joints should help with that? Thanks Steve!
