try trail braking. you're off the brake to quickly causing the car to lose front end grip too early causing you to add more steering input causing eventually slow exit speeds.... try it. Good luck. Mike Bar, driver trainer.

Looked to be a frustrating session with too many cars clearly slower than you not letting you past.

Hey YiannisR27 ! Great video, where did you found the red cruise control command? Love it

Thanks Maxime. These buttons are bespoke mate, I had them professionally sprayed on Ferrari red with laser engraved decals. Pics here; www.flickr.com/photos/33548861@N03/9243748100/in/dateposted/

Is this an upgraded exhaust system? sounds quite fruity :) How do you find the clio over extended sessions. I'm considering picking one up as a temporary track toy.

It's an akrapovic evo system coupled with ktec decatted manifold. I've got it for a few years now, using it for roads and track days, can't really fault it to be honest. Relatively cheap to run, especially if you are handy with the spanner, and it's proven to be pretty damn reliable. Downside is the weight though, if it was 100 kgs less it'd be truly awesome. NA engine is sweet but not tunable.

I guess you could lose 40kg by going the cup route and stripping the interior down, but then it'd be a rubbish road car!!!

@@1061shrink1061 that's it, totally agree. I got rid of the rear seats as I'm not puttting any people at the back but that's as far as I'll go. Stripped out hatches is a pointless exercise as far as I'm concerned, a dedicated track day toy needs to be on a light rwd platform. Love front wheelers but simply because they do so many things great. Take these variables out and the recipe is gone. Many would disagree but hey, each to their own:)

I ran a dedicated track Caterham for a while, but as we're saving for a house now, all the silly stuff had to go for a while! but I miss the track a bit too much. SO want a daily that can occasionally go to the track.

@@1061shrink1061 the clio would definitely do the trick and the prices have gone down now albeit finding a good example might be tricky. Check for the belts history and look for any steering knocks. Box syncros tend to go so make sure it goes effortlessly Into gear. You won't be disappointed

Another Caterham owner here :) I'm looking at buying a R27 as a daily, what modifications has your got?

BTW They are not Caterhams getting in your way.

Not on that footage no. It was a 2 hour session though. Love Caterhams by the way, my mate is racing at the academy, competitively as well:) The clio is on 5200 ASTs, bearings all over, bigger floating rotors at the front with PF compound 8 pads, bespoke 2 piece rear hubs with CL RC6s, akrapovic evo system, cams.
