This feels like a PS2 FIFA that got imported into the 360. Same goal celebrations, the generic faces look like a touched up equivalent of the ones from back then as well. Will say that I didn't expect the flipping Faroe Islands to have licensed kits though.

The first time I played a 360 was this on a demo setup at kmart lol. The graphics blew my mind at the time.

I had this. I remember I didn't think it was very good. The next one, the actual game of World Cup 2006, was much better imo.

I got this bundled with my 360. I had this and Oblivion to get on with in the early days. I remember saying when I loaded this up "wow, it's just like watching it on the telly" 😂

@@ChorizoMachine As far as I found out, this was supposed to be Henrik Larsen, Danish coach that managed Faroe Islands back then. The resemblance is immaculate xD

@@WordLifePL haha ea have had an obsession with zooming in on managers during the game cut scenes. I get the intent, but the execution is often butchered when they use the most generic character models to represent some of the managers. It still happens on fifa/fc24 to this day. I don't know why they don't just write a bit of code that means only the licensed/ scanned managers get the close up treatment whilst the odd looking generics don't get seen

So both PES6 and this were stripped down bare bones games released on the 360, Imagine buying both for £100+. it seems like most consoles have very poor launches/first years.

It's stuff like this that really made taking up a brand new console early on a bit tough. Like "oh, you want footy? You got this or nothing for another year".

The problem with this game is that would why would u pay money just to qualify for the world cup it's basically a tech demo it was just then testing the new hardware something pes also struggled with

Gameplay wise yes this wasn’t good. The previous gen FIFA 06 played better and actually had content. I went back to PES 5 when this was out.

Oh wow so actual fifa 06 had club teams and national teams and you could play world cup and euro Cup and the uefa champions league, premier league and so on and this gob shite game is just about you qualifying for the world cup but you can't actually play the world cup 😂😂 let me guess they had this game at full price £30 to £40 hack in the day what a load or rubbish. But Pro evolution soccer 6 was the much superior game and beats fifa 06 any day. The early Pro evolution soccer games had fifa games beat they were way better. All ea sports fifa had going for it was proper club teams for premier league. You had to either had to customise the teams, try your best to create emblems that looked like the real emblems English teams were using or get a Max memory card and USB and download an option file onto the USB with all the club team emblems and kits and logos made for you. But it was the fact that you could choose to make up your own teams by altering all the real teams with fake made up names and rename all the footballers and change them completely into your own made up players and teams if you so chose to was what made Pro evolution soccer way better and what will always make the early PES games amazing. 😂
