In Fifa 08 players actually move like they're running on the pitch, as opposed to FC 24 and Fifa 23 where players' movement is so unnatural, weirdly snappy and they run like they're ice skating. Crazy to think that a game from 16 years ago did all of that better.

Also the ball physics is a lot better here. Meanwhile in 23, 24 you already have pre determined animations with the ball which sucks the enjoyment out of it.

You can clearly see the smoothness and fluidity in the movements, the shooting and passing was much more crisp than today’s era.. feels so clumsy and twitchy; which is far from being realistic. FIFA 2008 will forever be my favorite

Remember that the referee wasn't visible when the game was on, he only appeared like a ghost before kick off and in the cut-scenes. FIFA 08 was the game I started being addicted to FIFA, also same year UEFA EURO 2008 came out, man that was times. PES 2008 was also very good game but this one made me fall in love with FIFA

You can control your player better. Probably that's what your thinking of because in today's FIFA's I have to fight the player to where I want to go half the time.

Was ranked very high on many past fifa’s I’ve noticed as time has progressed EA has increased the influence of scripting and got better at masking it to seem more natural. The older fifa’s were pure fun and predictable. Specific input= consistent and specific result. But there was always a way to counter/time every move in defense so it wasn’t too OP. Nowadays skill moves are 50/50.. half the time they aren’t worth it unless scripting allows you to have increased agility during a brief stints. Skill moves used to be used skillfully to gain an edge with timing.. now it just feels like people use it to force their way through defense in a 50/50 or mess around in midfield.

FIFA 07 came out the year the PS3 released and yet they made us wait a full year until FIFA 08 for the PS3 to have its first HD FIFA for some reason (if you wanted a FIFA on ps3 in 2006 you had to buy the ps2 version). The hype was real, this game blew my mind back then.

But for the casual audience that play FIFA religiously every year they won’t have two consoles of the same generation. In 2006 they were still playing the PS2 version of FIFA 07 either on PS2 or PS3 and it was an acceptable option. But come 2007 the hype was real for the first native PS3 FIFA

Nowadays, games on old engine are just, well..... old without anything new, they just dont care, they just care somehow about the next gen game.

Because the new games are more focused towards Ultimate Team and EA couldn’t care less about making the game better just how much cash they can get out of you. Estou vendo esse vídeo e me perguntando a mesma coisa. O jogo parecia que era mais fluído, movimentação dos jogadores era melhor e o jogo era um pouco mais cadenciado (hoje em dia é só correria e a diferença de velocidade entre atacantes e defensores é ridiculamente grande). Na verdade já faz uns 3 anos que não jogo FIFA, pois perdi totalmente o interesse, só estava passando raiva.

El movimiento de la red de la portería en este FIFA08 es mucho más realista que el de FC24 en PS4. Como se nota que "las mejoras next gen" que tanto promocionan para PS5 son meras limitaciones de mierda que le pusieron a las versiones "old gen" para vender más en nueva generación. Porque si no fuera así, como me explicarían entonces que un juego de hace 16 años tenga mejores físicas de red que un juego actual en una consola que tiene como 10 veces más potencia. Y menciono la red porque en las repeticiones es lo que más noto, y porque es una de las "mejoras notables" que tiene la nueva generación. Pero tranquilamente puedo decir también muchas otras cosas.
