have you noticed that when you pass the ball forward to a player, and there is another one offside, your pass will be forced by a miracle to the one offside no mater what direction you aim ?!

Yeah, hate that so much. And the fact there's no ball boys... When do you ever see a player running to the other side of the pitch to pick up the ball for a throw in? Or when it's right in front of them but they just stand there and not pick it up? Throw ins are possibly the most broken thing in the entire game.

A thing that bugs me a lot is the highlights after the match. If the game ended 4-3 there is often just 1-2 goals in the highligths. Instead of the other goals there is a bunch of worthless shots, saves and even some completely irrelevant tackles.

I hate when you try to pass to a player that is onside, but a teammate in the same general direction happens to be offside, the ball will almost always go to the offside player regardless of how much power you put on the pass.

you're always spot on with your criticism with the game. Another 2 things i would add are 1. the game not asking me what language i want every time and 2. overpowered Real Madrid, essentially a 6 or 7 star team, crazy strength, crazy pace, defense can catch Robben/Ribery with a 10 yard head start no problem, and crazy auto-tackling and inertia, online is like playing someone with a cheat code

I'm really annoyed when players on Career Mode start going down when they reach 29 and 30, which is when a lot of them would be in their prime in real life. They should only start decreasing when they're about 33 or so.

What makes Messi an exceptional football player is combination of attributes and qualities. One of his qualities that doesnt translate to FIFA is his decision making and quick thinking. Ronaldo is ”better” because he is a complete physical monster. How would you propose to make Messi better he already has the attributes to match his real life counter part, the rest is up to the user.

Good point. The problem is more with the game & how much physical attributes are a factor. It's why players who are either really strong or really fast have an advantage. It's why Paul Scholes or Xavi aren't unique in FIFA - attributes like passing, movement etc have no unique skill level that required to maximise their effectiveness so they don't stand out. It's up to FIFA to place more emphasis and balance on all attributes. Although I agree the user is also responsible.

MrVimtoJoe Physical attributes are easier to notice and feel. While tehnical attributes are very situational, passing being the most common one. Xavi is quite unique in FIFA same for Scholes, they are unique and for such players to function you need a very specific setup and style of play. These players are very specialised players. Physical attributes are more important because the level of play is quite simplistic and the way runs work (again simplistic) the players you dont control only do straight runs and for this to be succesfull you need to have a faster player. The tactics system is 6-7 years old at least, they never changed anything to it. For pure tehnical players to work better you need to be able to set up quite specific movements for your players, which the game simply doesnt give you the option cause again the systems in place are quite simplistic and are far away from the current tactical though in the football world now.

Great to see a new upload from you. :) I agree with most of what you said: 1) Autosave prompt 2) UT search 6) Clock after 90 mins. 8) kick-off glitch 9) EA service outages. I think "2" and "9" are related. The search is complicated mainly because it's dynamic/live (imagine servers communicating to share their information about timing and bidding). But even that, I think EA can fix it by hiring programmers from real-time bidding places like eBay and such, and most importantly, adding more servers to their farm. I never have problems with 7) small players marking tall ones. Maybe because you use Barca a lot? Also, Messi is fairly powerful if one knows how to skill. I have always been frustrated to play against Messi especially when I play against CPU. But yeah, human players probably have a harder time utilizing him better. His height (and therefore strength) is a huge disadvantage in FIFA since taller players are more OP there. I think they can randomize how many times the keeper tips the ball back or forward based on the keeper's skill. Shouldn't be a difficult fix. I would also say defending in general should be improved. Last but not least, the offsides and the sensitivity of the system to trigger them. Not sure about you, but I feel like there are way too many offsides in a game than it typically happens on average in real life. Sorry about the long rant. Thanks as ever! I was probably harsh on Messi. He is very good, but that isn't enough for me. I feel someone like Messi should be more than very good. Ronaldo as an example is amazing on the game, and for good reason. Messi doesn't even compare on the game simply because he is small and less physical, which is a big shame. Agree about the keepers. There are times when a really easy save is tipped straight in-front of them... no professional keeper would ever do that. I think offsides are a by-product of the defensive AI being poor. They press so high that typically offsides will happen more. Cheers for your comment :)

This for sure esp about offsides. I play with my dad everynight and holy shit the offsides sometimes are just God awful. Sometimes i can clearly see that the player is onside but he still calls! 2nd would be that why isn't there an option to save a formation with the players you want all set up so that the next time you play all you need to do is select that and you are good to go. Don't to go the hassle of switching formations, switching players between reserves and their positions.(ps if there is really a legit function to save previously used tatics/formations/player positions so i can get ready in a flash please reply to this cos I have never seen this before.) 3rd I don't know about you guys but 3 times so far when either side gets called a yellow or red, the damn notification ie. (Philip Lahm (red card)) sticks there the whole game. Even after i exit the game and start a new match the damn notification IS STILL THERE!!! WHYY There are still more stuff but off my head are these 3. Sorry for such a long rant/reply/commeny

Yo VimtoJoe, Great vid man. I have been watching your vids for a long time and I urge you to continue. It's nice getting a break from all the other youtubers who are supposedly "wagering" high valued players and promoting the shit out of the fifa coin website that gives them coins to buy players to wager. I want to say I think you make some really compelling points. The list of 10 things should absolutely be fix. I also think the multiplayer aspect (the reason I practically bought it) should be retooled. If I have my friend come over and we want to play 2 other friends online at another house, we are fucked. How does that make sense? The I also think the menus are a disaster. Overly complex. I shouldn't have to research online how to create a game with friends and play together. Lastly, I think the music is just terrible. I know this is a long shot, but uploading your own music to play would be pretty awesome. And if you can, someone tell me how. My ears are bleeding.

If there's one thing you missed in my opinion it is the unnecessary offside calls in the game when you could've let us play on EA decide to stop play for an offside even when you have the ball which prevents you from getting a counter attack

i think it would be sick if there weren't any game difficulties like amateur, world class, etc. it would be nice if the difficulty depended on the team itself. Also, in fifa 14, i've noticed many times where many players completely ignore the ball. THAT SHOULDNT HAPPEN

You should be matched with your opponent in online seasons before the team selecting process. I have honestly played against Madrid 10 times in a row on more than one occasion. But if I could see that the player refuses to play with any other team I could just search for a new opponent. It would make the game a lot better to not have to play against the same team every single time.

Wow, only 10. I've been playing FIFA since 94 and this is the 1st FIFA I've stopped playing before new year. Partly cos my brother snapped the disc in frustration, but even then, I wasn't sad to see it go. However I had the PS3 version, hear PS4 version is better. Is it time to upgrade?

you should add an 11th: goalkeepers watching lobbed balls going on top of them and just waiting for the goal. In reality that never happens, the goalie runs back to try and get the ball, not just make it easier for the striker by not trying to stop it. It is so annoying when the AI gives away a goal.

I agree with you, 100%. For the Xbox One version of the game, they should use Microsoft's servers. Many people hate Microsoft, but you gotta admit, they have pretty amazing servers, ESPECIALLY compared to EA. And isn't it ironic Messi is average in FIFA and worse than Ronaldo in it, when he has been on the cover for the past three years? I love Messi, but it's just so funny...

Maybe improve the defense mechanics. I hate when your defender is just standing and staring on a lob pass. And the AI make it more intelligent . Like when your opponent is pressuring you like triple team, your teammates doesn't want to help you at all.

Point 1 is much worse on PC ^^ You start the game, first thing you have to do is to choose your settings "pack", after that you have to confirm it. Then you have to press a button to confirm your input device and after that you get that auto save thing... Every f*cking time... ^^

The language selector is a very annoying! I have to change the default language evvry time when I start to play fifa14 (push left then push A button), because my language is not the first one. If I miss the language selector (bcz opening a beer for example) it will start fifa14 with the default language then I have to restart the whole game, bcz I can not find the language selector ingame (if any). //The default language is russian.//

Pace has always been a problem on FIFA, but I don't think it's as bad on FIFA 14 compared to other games where it has been much worse

11. To stop people using contain (ie. holding one button to do all your defending for you.. bullshit) have another multiplier in your coin rewards that decreases your overall coins for a game, the longer you hold the contain button. I read runs, I back off into space to stop passes and 80% of the time I come up against a twat holding one button making him harder to beat. Contain is a joke.. I wish they had separate playlists where contain was disabled.

Ea need to base the game on player skill, not scripting to ensure even the crap players beat the better ones! Secondly, a bug that has been in the game for years, pausing the game! If a player pauses the game it stops the match during play. why not press pause match to bring on a sub, and only stop the match when the ball goes off for a throwing etc?
