AJ3Fifa Obviously Americans can play football considering their progress in the most recent World Cup compared to the likes of Spain and England, plus how they've matched up against countires like Germany, Portugal, and Belgium. Besides, Jozy's just not a good scorer. His physical presence, however, can open up loads of chances for other players. For the USMNT, he occasionally has flashes of class. But for Sunderland, he can't score. His physicality + strength makes space for other attackers with him. With him, the U.S would have probably gone farther in the Copa Mundial. As a fellow fan of the beautiful game, you should know players can impact the game in more ways than scoring goals and assisting. Numbers and results are the only things you see from a glance. You are English after all, and you could use those words after your World Cup :P.

You've had over 100 years to build your league, we've had 18 and look at the progress we've had and the big signings we're getting with a Salary Cap in place. Plus Altidore can play ball, but ever since the injury at the World Cup, he has not been himself I'll admit that. But don't get mad at America because we've done better than England lately.

I know American's are patriotic and all about their Leauge and national team, the problem is, the MLS doesn't seem right, the only teams playing are ones representing states, and there is no relegation/promotion- It takes allot of the fun out, there aren't consequences for coming last. And, at the moment, Your national team is really quite shite. You do have good players in the likes of Donnovan, Dempsey, Howard and (maybe) Yedlin, but apart from that, its quite inconsistent. However, you are going in the right direction. But really for the MLS and American national team to get absolutely anywhere you need to rethink how the league works. You need a few tires of play, Promotion and Relegation, and some form of knock-out cups. For the national team, that will just take time- While the american leauge is just hindering itself, no matter how huge the country is, 18 years is too short to expect to have good players. Maybe the team will be great in 10 years, maybe it will be awful, who knows. Anyway good luck with your league and team, and Everton says thanks for Tim Howard :P

We did just make it out of the pool of death and nearly beat Belgium in the quarters in the last world cup. I do think a relegation would be sweet to have over here, but no other sport has that, and telling Americans about the idea is rather difficult haha. But I think the biggest problem is most Europeans just assume this league is Shit just because it's in America, when actually there are few teams like the Revolution, Sounders, Galaxy could actually compete in Europe. Would they win the title, no but they wouldn't be bottom of the table either. I do agree the league needs more time, but given the short amount of time it's been around, it's grown drastically.

That being said you guys did you incredible in the world cup, I feel that head on, England would most likely beat you guys, but I'm only really saying that since you have a pretty inconsistent defence. You guys have some sick goalkeepers (Also cheers for Friefel and Guzan :D), and bradley plays pretty well in the midfeild from what I've seen (Sorry If I got that wrong, I've only seen two USA National games and one Toronto game), but you don't seem to have developed enough defenders yet. As I said, the only real problem with the MLS is that America has always played sport with fixed leagues. If I'm correct there is a smaller league, but for a player to go from the smaller leauge to the MLS they need to be called up or promoted Individually, I need to look up into how that works. And actually, the MLS has some very good non american players, Kaka, Defoe, Keane, Obi Martins, Gary Cahill, Lampard (Out on loan, suppose he couldn't bear to be away from the BPL :P), and soon, Gerrard. It's a shame people do indeed shun the MLS for being set on a different system to what were used to, It has potential- and who know's, maybe the system you have in place will be beneficial to you guys? One other thing, Football takes up a huge section of my life, so I try to follow one team from each major league, and I've been thinking about following an MLS team.
