TheLegendOfLink I think they had the defending just right on FIFA 14 and at the beginning of FIFA 15. But then that update ruined it. What they also need to sort out is the over-the-top through balls. it was ok at the beginning of FIFA 15 because they weren't always successful so people stopped doing it. Since they did that big update about a month or so after the release it made it so much easier to do so everyone fucking spams LB+Y at every opportunity. Only good playmakers should be able to pull them off effectively. Not a CB from 70 yards away...

Jack Spoogie You should watch some of the other gameplay videos like the IGN one. They show how Fifa 16 has attempted to improve the defending by being able to double tackle, having the cpu keep better defensive shape and automatically provide better help defense.

Integrating a whole dribbling skill couldn't be added by a patch also with the new defending system they have added it is impossible. All this integrations change a little of gameplay so feels different than FIFA 15. So you're basically saying to patch in a whole different game to be honest.

this is a great add on, but one thing they really need to work on is players running at pace. Take Messi, Sanchez hazard and Neymar for example. When they sprint, the ball is the exact same distance to their feet as it is when they're walking. Literally like a string is attatched. They need to make it so you notice a difference between players with ball control and dribbling in the 90's vs players in the low to mid 80's for the stats. If I take sprint touches with walcott, he'll likely hit them far away and run onto them, but any of the 4 I listed above, they'll go full strint, move their legs really really quickly to keep their stride in line with the ball movement, BUT maintain incredibly fast pace. in Fifa 14 they always take a big touch and run onto it when you sprint, and for certain players it's not the case at all, the ball never leaves their foot, sprint or jog or walk.

omeka014 Defense in Fifa is underpowered, they need to add more defensive features and mechanics. EA always focus on attack that's why Fifa 15 was such a mess. Last year they only added possession slide tackle and full body displacement which was so unbalanced even just any striker could perform it regardless their defensive attributes. Not to mention the unfair pace advantage attackers have over defenders. Hence players like Ibarbo, Ronaldo and Bale can just win back possession even after having been dispossessed by the likes of Terry or Hummels.
