Matt, could please you address in a video about the movement of the players in Fifa and pes like how sometime the characters feet slip on ice and also the pop/jolt in the players when they walk or celebrate almost like a speed change. The video could be based on the physics of the game (not just the players but the ball too) and how the 2017 version of games have changed this, because I really think this lets down the game in terms of realism. If you could respond to this comment that would be great, thanks.

Matt I really dont know what to buy. I have always been a fifa fan and probz always will be but this year pes looks so incredible that it makes me want to buy pes more. However, the problem with Pes is that it does not have awesome game modes that fifa has (Ultimate team,Career Mode,The Journey). I think this year pes and fifa are gonna knock any game out of the market. They are both amazing.

for it's really hard to choose because PES is really awesome gameplay wise but just lacks the teams fifa has because I'm from belgium and I would like to some belgian teams in PES. Fifa on the other hand has so much to offer this year with the journey and such but I seriously hope they fix their passing because last year was also a "big improvement". In my eyes PES/Fifa would be perfect if they combined and put their heads together cuz they show it off really well but in the end somethings are just a let down. unfortunately wont happen. FIFA own football then put out a game every year called FIFA 17,18 etc. They will not give the licenses to PES, it would be bad business. Doing so they would lose all the casual gamers and people who wont buy it for that reason. SO you know, there is a easy to download patch this year coming out on PES which updates the names and kits DAY ONE, they aren't aloud to advertise it properly. but it will be easily accessible to everyone (apparently).

I remember me and all my schoolmates are crazy about fifa 98 back then. The soundtrack was catchy i still remember to this day, woo hoo from blur. But then someone came and bring game called winning eleven 4, with all that kanji we didn't understand and japanese commentator... Geez... But when we play, we can see the differences. FIFA was too easy, we can score with our CB bring the ball thru the field with all the special skills: rabona, zidane turn etc you name it. When playing WE, when we first shoot all the ball goes to the sky because we need to control the power. Not took us very long time to realize which game are better. The essential never changed. FIFA always better on the entertainment/presentation.. i.e goal celebration, stadiums, player faces. But on gameplay, no one can beat the realistic of PES. If you want to play games, play FIFA. IF you want to feel play real football, play PES

Honestly I have played PES for more than 4 years. But for 2017, I found out that FIFA is more beautiful as it in gameplay and graphic, the stadium and crowd looks and sounds more natural. While PES is okay but you do not feel the natural of the stadium and crowd themselves. But both of these games have pros and cons in their own ways.

FIFA is more complex in terms of passing and gameplay overall, it for people who got more time to play. PES is for casual gamers( it doesn't make it a bad game). Competition is always good.

I've played fifa since 2010. The best Fifa that I played was probably Fifa 12, 15. Fifa 16 was so so bad. Like I dont know how you could enjoy it. I've played it alot aswell, at first it was sort of enjoyable, but then everything in the game seems to be the same. There's no change at all, same kind of goals scored, same shitty passes.. through balls are simply terrible. And I really don't trust EA, I think they'll just provide the same lame game again. What it looks like is that the only thing that EA did in Fifa 17, is freekick/penalty reworks + adjustment to through balls. But the game will still probably be bad. I played PES 16 aswell, but honestly since I'm a fifa fan I only played it for about 5 games then just ditched it. This year, I think I'm moving to PES 17 for the first time. and what encouraged me to move there is the Barcelona Camp Nou stadium which looks so real, and the anthem, the champions league, europa league.. EA fail to deliver all that. PES 17 for me.

The last few Fiffa editions have been so slow in the gameplay department. Its not always about the graphics. PES 17 looks like real life gameplay speed. I fancy a change from EA and I think PES 17 has now finally made a big comeback.

When watching these videos just remember Matt's allegiance to FIFA. He said the same glowing positives about FIFA16, and yet criticises it openly when a new one is about to be released. 12 months time, FIFA 17 will be getting the same deconstruction. Both games look fantastic, but you can't chose a favourite until you've given both games a fair try playing them hands-on.

I'm quite worried there isn't any news on career mode, everyone in the career mode community begged EA last year to change, and they didn't. Everyone wants career mode to be realistic, but it isn't. I'm worried they've put too much time into the journey, and career mode is still gonna be terrible :(

Honestly Fifa vs Pes is not an even competition. One party buys and secures all top licenses for themselves because they are wealthy while the other party has to deal with it, then we call this a competition, where is the logic? for pes to still be able to survive with no licenses just shows you how powerful the product is, and to me pes is the superior game. Fifa is no longer like it used to be in the 2000's. Its now a cash grab business

FIFA is a definite Winner for me for years now. The reason is that when I buy both games and test them out, PES just feels like the movement of a 1990's game with an Okay Graphics. I don't know how to say this but with FIFA, you can really feel how the player isn't just running when you move the analog stick, but rather you can really feel how hes doing a lot more movements and that is IMO a big part of a good game including the passing, shooting, entertainment and all that stuff. I'm not hating PES, I'm just answering you question.

The individual player in PES looks great, but the overall model is unnatural, and it looks like 22 individuals running around awkwardly on an unnatural model, and they interact very robotically Whereas, Fifa, the player motions seem robotic and unnatural sometimes but the team dynamic and setting is very co-ordinated.
