That and marketing could be. But I see this as one of those rare cases where it won't matter much since the changes from year to year are not to big to begin with. The work of transitioning to the Frosbite engine was already done in Fifa 17. And honestly, if they were to change it to much we would all complain. totally agree with all that. press is so needed in career mode. for me the main thing though is the AI - super boring to play against, and they need to chang the way they play depending on the team they are! Plus, kits should be able to be customised after each season, even slightly. Promoted teams should buy more players and more talk about teams / players/ managers should happen between games and seasons in the news. Lastly, I'm now winning the EPL in my 3rd season by like 13 points which is super unrealistic (it's only January), other teams haven't kept up with my signings and i've lost interest - they should make the top 4-6 teams always super good and making big signings to keep it competitive.

But if you create a custom player, the quality of the graphics won't be anywhere near as good. It'll probably have to auto-program it, which could make the game laggy and poor quality.

yeah but they wont use their budget. if you compare the money they make to the developement of the game over the years, you will notice that they whole series is a big fucking joke. they only care for ut because it brings them money. EA is not interested in making the game more "realistic" or authentic. Its almost every year the same bullshit with little to no changes. Get the ball, pass it to your striker, run. If goal --> nice! No goal ---> defend the opponents counterattack and repeat. Not worth buying it sadly.

FIFACMSports Thing is it would be great but the need to do 10 times more work. If we go of what your saying all the lines need to be done loads to get everyone's name because people will complain if they have only a selection and of course doing lines over again is expensive. Then you have cut scenes which are easier but still hard becuase the character models probably would not look to great.

I'm really happy with those new features. I think the best they got last year was the story, it was quite good, very well thought. The last scene being called to National Team was great. BUT I've been hoping about a mixed game with football and A REALLY LIVING LIFE OUTSIDE FOOTBALL (imagine open world+fifa) since FIFA 2005 (started at 2000). Still Waiting... Can't believe they are using Frostbite and they get a really bad looking in game Alex Hunter but they sell us as the best graphics in market... Worst is that even using frostbite they don't get really GREAT landscapes. At least that 18 trailer showed some better graphics
