FIFA 18 Youth Academy Scouting Guide

I never use age rule. Don't need also 5 star scout in both exp and rating. Only really important ring is the player expected potential. Best if it's 80-94 but 75-94 is also good. I started playing as a lowest division in England do needed few players which I can start promoted to first team straight away. Found 4 players. One GK, CB, LM/CM and ST. 3 od them Potential to be special and 1 exiting prospect. Then I was pretty much looking only for 15 yo to keep them in academy and train. Found one Argentinian CDM/CM which was 46 ovr when I took him. When he reached 17 and promoted him to 1st team he was 71 and beast. I also had full academy and all my players had potential to be special. Also noticed then when I was more specific about the tyle od the player results were lot better. I know there are certain tyle od players better to some areas. For example south America is gr8 for technically gifted ones where i'm Scandinavia and/or Serbia I found stringi players. Also Africa is good for them and wingers.

And with academy players under of the overall 60 doesnt show their status untill they reach the 60 overall

.. .. so if I train them up to 60, I’ll see more potential tags? Like I said in the video, I don’t use YA very often.

FIFA CareerGems basically yeah but sometimes training can screw their potential. But there is always the potential glitch

I’ll stick to my method for this career and just get YA players with 60 OVR .. .. .. (maybe high 50’s at a push)

You can save before firing your scout the fire the scout if its not the 5* 5* then back out of the career and go back with continue career and rinse and repeat until you have the scout you want thats a way of saving money but basicly doing the same thing

the potential ist first shown when he has a 60 rating

The potential bracket in Scout Report is an estimate, but the potential tag in the Squad Hub gives a better indication.

i mean the potential in the squad hub when he has a 59 rating there dont stand that he has potential to be special it first stand there when he grow up to a 60

Youth Academy Players sometimes grow +1 when promoted. I’ve trained him and the others a few sessions to increase too.

Hi. Few years ago at fifa 17, I somehow managed to transport my world from manager career mode into a whole game. So the composition of the teams was suddenly made up of a junior player, etc. in the whole game. Please don't you have anyone with this similar experience? I would love to do it in fife 17 but I don't know how.

If you play them more the attributes that can’t be trained will increase slightly.

@@FCGems Slightly? No I wouldn't call IT Slightly. I had a side midfilder who started with 56 acc and 59 speed. After 4 seasons ACC was 87 and spped 91 do I wouldn't call it slightly.

Instead of hiring and firing so much. Close the Career Mode without saving to regain the funds.
