Is it different on PC? Especially now? Because the crossing system is the worst I've ever seen in a football game. Crosses are atrocious, and getting the ball on a cross is atrocious. So I've very surrpise to read multiple times that crossing is a way to go in 21

Depends on a lot obviously, but if you are counter attacking and just want to cross from wide, anything generally works, but if you want your main goal threat to be crossing into the box, 442 or 352 are good, have your wide players playing on their natural side, staying wide, then you have your two strikers lurking to get on the end of the crosses.
