Same defending concepts as Fifa 21, but unless you're a 27+ wins per weekend league type of guy, these are the types of things you need to keep in mind every single game. I'm decent (20 wins in most WL), but you're right--I often attack the ball carrier way too aggressively (either in the box or down the line) instead of cutting off the angle first and then closing down, so it's always important to hear that reminder. Legacy tackling makes tackling much easier and setting was available in previous FIFAs. But iv just gone to tactical now.

Believe me defending in fifa 22 is bit easy.. follow the steps 1.Auto switch - only air balls and loose balls (or) only air balls 2. while defending , don't ever switch to defenders or full backs..ai will do its job. 3.use Only midfielders. 4.pull the mids towards the defense blocking the channels, man marking, between defenders, tackling... Thank me later..

@@NealGuides hmm. I recall there being a focus on 4231 and being mostly passive by only controlling your cdm most of the time. Could be a different creator or just that I didn't pick up enough back then either way, different strokes for different folks. I'm loving the Tekkz style of defending especially in FIFA 22. Each center back or CDM to defend their side never drag your left center back to defend the right side .. distribute the work if you do that it will open space for runners for 1-2s

Most of what u explained is just defensive IQ. If someone knows ball and how to defend while they practically play on the pitch then its easy for them in Fifa too. They just have to implement those things on the controller. Very well explained though! 😁🙌

I have come up with a way to get better. Us the same method he was saying but rarely us the right trigger and alway play back meaning don’t push forward in defense and us the left trigger. I have been playing a lot of squad battles to practice. It’s helping little by little. I don’t know if it’s because I played fifa from the 90’s and now I should retire 😔😞😒 @boagles

@@adamclarke4633 I think when getting back u need to just press sprint button. When u get nearer the defender then u can use both R2+L2. Even then it's not as effective as last year as it's manual. Only tackle when u are close to a defender and are sure of winning the ball
