EA needed competition because they have been coasting for the past 10 years, adding 1 feature each year, not developing career mode and only making slight improvements to graphics each game. With 2k taking the FIFA franchise, they will really have to up their game, or lose market share like they did with the NBA game, where they used to be the official game of the NBA and 2k came and made a better game and now no one buys the EA NBA game.

I like creating my own character. And don't really want it to be too scripted. I just want to have a career with my created player but with better cut scenes. Would like the commentary to acknowledge my player as the best player to ever play the game. When it's time to retire, I would like a special match. And then charity matches after I retire. And after I retire I can be a coach and be know as a legend in the game. I would like the game to acknowledge all the trophies I won during my career and all the teams I played in..... something realistic in a career mode that relates to the real world. I would like to be able to use my career player online for proclubs. Is that too much to ask?

This is interesting but considering that NBA 2K has basically become the FIFA of basketball, this might not be as good as people think. Perhaps 2K will be forced to be more competitive since it will be an underdog in this market but they have a track record of just being as predatory as FIFA.

You don't understand your own paragraph. The reason 2K is predatory is the same reason EA being predatory, they both have ZERO competition in their respective franchise/genre. FIFA 2K can't be as predatory since it has a big predator as competition in EAFC, BOTH needs to reduce their predatory intention in order for them to win the competition. If FIFA 2K goes full predator mode from the start, then we will hate it just like we hate EAFC and go play UFL or GOAL instead. 2K will be smart with this, they need to blow away EA first before they can go full predator mode and since EA won't let their claws go easily, EA will make serious improvement to EAFC or they will seriously in danger of losing their player base. This is the utmost ideal situation for us, the players.

Only when there's no competition for 2K, it started going downhill. The same has been happening with FIFA/EAFC, it's been downhill because there's no competition. Competition is always good for us, the players, they will fight to make their respective games as sexy as possible to entice us. Right now, there's no such willingness from EA, having 2K as competition is a wake-up call for them. And trust me, 2K will try hard at the very least to disrupt EA's monopoly.

1. When EA didn't make the effort to have the Brazilian league in FIFA 15, that made me lose faith in them. I get that they worry about money, but they make way more than enough. 2. I like how it's easier to maneuver the tactics in the new FIFA games, compared to the tedious custom tactics from FIFA 10-18. 3. If they had kept the mechanics from 17 with the custom tactics options from 19- now, I would really love the games. 4. Again, FIFA 14 was great cos they had the Argentine, Brazilian, Colombian, and Chilean leagues.

For me the most important thing is that they will not like EA does, create unfair online competitions. The more money you spent, the better packs will be awarded. When you spent nothing the chance of getting even 1 player of the year in a pack Is virtually 0% I never spent money to get fake currency , I rather spent my money on my son and my wife. Since 2019 I'm playing fut and this week. I packed the most valuable Player in all those years. It should not matter how much you spent , every one should have the same chance in player packs.
