I can't believe that the coach and best player left

Nothing to do with the coaching. The level of skill and work rate in the EIHL compared to the NHL is abysmal. The game is predictable, slow and boring across the league at present. Almost " non contact" hockey.

It's not possible for the EIHL to be NHL level, especially when hockey isn't even that popular in the UK compared to other sports

@DJ-bf1xl Even when ex NHL players join the EIHL they become slower and a yard short if full fitness. It's a " retirement home" for many players who do just enough to get by. Steelers this season are 2 yards short of last year.

@@GRUMPY0254 its true but you can't really compare this kind of hockey to NHL. When it comes to the players the salary they get ex NHL or not is barely enough to get along, I know alot of players have second jobs to make enough money. They just don't have enough time to fully commit to the intensity of NHL hockey. Its a full time job in the NHL and you get paid to commit to it full time

@DJ-bf1xl You make an excellent point. But the ex NHL players in our top teams are not " paid a pittance". One thing certain, they don't play for the " love of the game". Ken Priestley and his ilk gave everything. This weekend one of the greatest players to grace the game Jody Lehman is back in Sheffield. I knew him well. He never once " coasted" through a game.

for a supposed Elite league it isn't very Elite, NIHL1 puts EIHL to shame as its fun to watch and not predictable, and theres more british talent if you can understand my view, where people like myself and others can then progress from Juniors to Seniors. Thanks
