The built in speakers had too much echo for me to enjoy them. The Fine were ok, but can really hear the instruments pretty well. The Boss were too bass heavy for the instruments to really get a good feel for them. I am using XA3021 speakers from Altec Lansing. These guys are about 20 years old, just over $80 Canadian dollars when I got them brank new. They do have a wired remote with 2 headphone jacks built in. Was using the headphone jack when listening to your music. The headphones I was using are the WH-1000XM3 by Sony. I could tell the difference bewteen each of the setups, but do think the Fine speakers to be the better for your listening experience for music, to hear the instruments and better vocals, that is for sure. The Boss would be good for movies and lots of base.

The iMac speaker sounds dull, or perhaps flat, which means they don't seem very good to me. The first speaker sounds clear, slightly clearer than the initial one. Indeed, it has a better sound quality than the first. I definitely prefer the second speaker over the first; it's much improved. However, something seems a bit off when she sings-maybe it's the volume or the bass is too high. I'm not certain. The third one already sounds better; it doesn't have that indistinct sound the other two produced. No, wait, I retract that statement-the second and third speakers are roughly equivalent. There are subtle differences, though this could be attributed to the camera's audio capture.

Idk, i think my portable mini Sony 3.5mm jack speakers from 25 yrs ago might sound about as good. Idk about buying new speakers.
