I love my yeti x. The 24-bit, the software with a good compression and EQ.... But not as much as I love my Fifine k670. About 5 years ago, that was really the only competition to the Blue yeti. In my opinion, it's the closest sounding Mike to the Neumann tlm102. I've seen it as low as $30 on Amazon and it's surely to be that price during Black Friday. The only disadvantage, it's 16 bit. But as long as you're not using it with auto-tune and recording it at a healthy gain, it's a non-issue. The only thing I wish, is for fifine to finally come out with some software to EQ and compress their microphones. Anyway, after over a decade of broadcast experience and talking into the Neumann for my audio production, I can honestly concur; this microphone is an A++. It didn't get the third plus because of the 16 bit. But all the USB mics, 5 years ago were 16 bit. When you see it for 30 bucks, don't run, Sprint and order one. If you have a one-man podcast or are doing instructional videos people are going to think you're talking into a $500 microphone. There's even a guy on KZbin who compared to Neumann to the k670 to show how similar they are. That's actually why the silver one looks like the champagne 102. I think fifine was going exactly for that One last thing because this comment is too short... The headphone jack has some noise for some reason. I imagine that was a budget cut. But that noise is not going to translate into your production software. But I wouldn't use it as an analog out for your interface.

One last thing because I didn't talk enough already. If you get a windscreen for the fifine, it helps with the proximity effect if you eat the mic and really helps with the low end making it sound that much better. Without giving up any of the crisp air sound. If you have a naturally deep voice a pop filter may be a better alternative

If you got the k670, you got one of the best sounding microphones of all time which compares to a $1,200 Neumann microphone. Congratulations. I actually saw it for 30 bucks on Amazon... They bring it down to that price once every few months, and I bought two more. I had one crap out on me after I dropped it and want to make sure I have these for the rest of my life. As a man who owns the re27 dynamic, my favorite dynamic, I can honestly say this is my favorite budget condenser. If you ever need to upgrade to XLR, I suggest the very affordable neat king bee large diaphragm. Also a beautiful sounding mic, which sounds very similar to this one with a little more body because of the large diaphragm capsule

Hi Chris, I'm new to this kind of stuff and I'm trying to choose a microphone for dictation on the new computer up getting soon,. I figured that since I'm getting a new computer it would be a good time to upgrade my microphone. My observations might be different from others. But I actually thought the Fifine sounded much better, which surprised me. Now I need to explain what I meant by much better. Yes on the blue yeti, you sounded more like a radio broadcaster. That's cool I guess. But your voice sounded very deep, Basie & kind of loud. I almost turned my computer volume down, because the increase in base and volume bothered my ears more than a little bit. Keep in mind I don't know if the sound engineer terms for what I am saying. However, if we were in conversation and you actually had a voice that was that deep and loud it would annoy me to listen to you. It would make me feel that you were shouting down my throat at me. Whereas,, on the Fifine your voice was very clear, but it sounded softer and more naturally conversational. I imagine that the way you sound on the Fifine is the way you would sound if we were just having a conversation across a kitchen table or something. Thus my explanation makes sense? Anyway, the softer more conversational tone is the tone that I I want in my voice when I am dictating or just speaking. Does that make sense? By the way, I am commenting on this test a little more than a year after you conducted it and Fifine has updated its technology. As I write this there are 2 versions of the Mike you tested that are both slight upgrades to it. One other thing, I am writing this using it even less expensive gooseneck microphone also by Fifine. :-)

Hi Chris.. do you have informations about a microphone Fifine k678 ? And which is the better between k670 and k678 ? Please answer..🙏
@FIFINE3 жыл бұрын
Could you please let us know your main use? First and foremost, K678 is equipped with the mute button, headphone volume control that K670 doesn't have, plus K678 get a different shape from K670. Thus, the biggest difference is about the noise floor and the tone. But the difference of noise floor is not quite noticeable even if you don't get a suitbale arm stand or a pretty quite room. As for K678, the microphone with more bass presenting in your recording and maintaining the same kind of clarity, will be more balanced and natural than the K670s'.

Shouldn't you be able to use a XLR-microphone via S/PDIF? Before having watched the conclusion I dare to predict that the cheaper microphone isn't any worse than the Blue Yeti, it is well known in audio-circles that you can buy the same quality for half the money and that there is little difference between most USB microphones.
@ChrisTitusTech5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure on this, most of the mixing boards I'm looking at have a USB out and not a S/PDIF. I'd imagine the S/PDIF would be a lot better, but then again I'm in uncharted territory and still researching it before dropping $500 on a setup.
@peterjansen48265 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisTitusTech The most logical solution seems to me to use a mixing board with S/PDIF if you want to use S/PDIF. I have a DAC which has S/PDIF, I imagine that there also are audio-boards with it, but those might be more expensive. Obviously the big difference between S/PDIF and USB is that with S/PDIF you 'export' a clean digital signal out of the rather noisy environment into an external device. After having heard the output of both USB-microphones: the FiFine is better in my opinion, you have less of an artificial 'announcer'-voice, less boosted low frequencies. I listen with a HD700 (Sennheiser). For recording you can have a great start with a cheap $100-200 XLR microphone from Sennheiser, Sure (a proven model, not all models from Sure are good!), Audio-Technica. The only obstacle is that you need some extra hardware (ADC + amplifier and pre-amplifer (often built in in an amplifier).

@@ChrisTitusTech Given that you read reactions so fast shortly after uploading I will use a separate reaction for this so that you don't miss it. ;) It is smart of you to first do proper research! My advice: look in the more serious audio-circles and separate the audio-snobs (yes, they exist :() from the sensible people who will give good advice for all budgets and do actually have golden 'ears'. Look on the bigger forums for audiophiles. Once again, just ask me and I will look with you and separate good advice from nonsense.

@FIFINE5 жыл бұрын
It will depend on your favor. Though the volume dial and true real-time monitoring feature alone would worth quite a few of bucks, the main different is still about the tone. K670 would give the similar warm sound as Snowball does because of the larger capsule. While it still picks up details of high ends, in which Snowball doesn't have very promising performance for vocal. That means K670 would capture your voice more clearly from the same distance. Though we're the manufacturer and seller of K670, what we say about our own product is bascially meaningless, you can checkout some other videos to decide by yourself.
