Key talked about his album concept and he said, apart from Gasoline, it’s a story about this count who lives in a mansion all alone, he has double personality? like Jekyll and Hyde and so he is a count but also turns into mad scientist at some point. If you look at the album cover, Key says the person on the far bellow is the count and on the front holding a syringe is a mad scientist (who are both the same person) and on the right who looks like a main protagonist is our “hero” and on the left, the one holding a bat is a first victim of the scientist. And on the far left, that pink creature? is a character who gets captured by the scientist so our hero is trying to save him before it’s too late. This is a story Key explained during his live stream and for “Gasoline” he said this song was not really planned from the beginning. Key firstly wanted to make this story and concept to be an album and later on people told him they need some title song for the album sales so he thought of another concept of “demi-god” and so he just did exactly that. So he said there is no story relation to Gasoline and Villain. Personally I really like the concept Key originally was going for (the whole count turning into mad scientist) and I really thought Villain was the title song since it matches perfectly with the album cover but oh well…

The brass sound, the drums and the melody on top of it reminded me a lot of industry baby by lil nas x (i love this song), so I loved that comeback! And the visuals were out of this world

Especially from the teasersss No bc the trumps are fire! I love when trumps are in songs and have a repetitive sound. That is my type of song I LOVEEE! im so freaking happy. I appreciate that you don't read the lyrics on a first reaction. It's the way I've always done it too, to get the full aesthetic experience intended. I see so many reactors who miss what's going on onscreen because they're too distracted by the lyrics and trying to interpret them and analyse them on the spot which is unnecessary imo.

I'm sadly not a fan of hard-hitting boygroup sound, so I didn't enjoy the title one bit. HOWEVER, the whole album is a total delight that it made me forget that the title existed LOL! I love the cohesiveness of the album, the synthwave sounds, the vibe, and most importantly, that album art is glorious.

OMG I didn't expect a whole album listen I'M SO EXCITED! It was probably on your schedule but I didn't check because I only expected the MV reaction and just went with it! So excited to watch your reaction. Key killed it this comeback. The Shinee members are unstoppable in their solos I love it. Question tho: is there a reason you never did an album listen for the other Shinee members tho? You didn't do one for Onew and Taemin had many albums released since you had your channel. The instrumental in Gasoline reminds me a lot of Lil Nas X sound (Industry Baby), also the MV and song screams SM production so I'm kinda disappointed cause I feel like another idol could pull it off as well. Nevertheless, the B sides are SO GOOD!!! The only skip for me is GOAT and that's it cause they're mostly bops~~
