As sweet as he was, baekhyun was by no means soft or cowardly. In fact, he trained in a Korean martial art called Hapiko for nine years since he was in second grade. He has a third degree black belt which makes him qualities for the title ‘master’. As a kid even at a young age, Baekhyun competed in a whole lot of Hapkido tournaments. He won piles of medals of each colour in these tournaments. But what he really wanted to do was to become an entertainer and he went for many auditions to achieve his dreams. For some reason, he never passed any of them. And yet Baekhyun was so passionate about music that when he was in high school, he prepared to enter a music college. On the day of the performance test for entering Seoul Institute of the arts, he was warming up his throat with a music sheet in his hand. At that moment a casting manager from SME saw Baekhyun and cast him right there and then. Now when you are discovered on the street like that, surely it means you become a trainee right away right? WRONG. You still have to go through an audition and so began the audition. Baekhyun went through the whole crazy audition competing against all kinds of immensely talented people. After the audition he didn’t get a call from SME for more than six months. After painfully and patiently waiting he finally received a call and became an official trainee which he only trained for four months in the debut line up and debut seven months later. In total he only trained for 11 months which was exhausted his body and mind due to such a short and intense training and not to mention the immediate debut afterwards.

In my opinion Baekhyun has a great voice, I like his low voice a lot, I think his face is very pretty and he looks so cute with or without makeup, his hair looks great always it doesn't matter the hair color, but what I like is when he has blond-silver hair he looks like a little cat very sweet and when he has black hair he looks a little more sexy. The way he dances is very nice and at Tempo he was hot for sure, even my sister said that. I recommend you his solo songs you can find on youtube, but one song which I think you'll like is Like rain, like music it's cover but it's so beautiful the way he sings you can react to lyrics or live how you wish(this song includes low and high notes). Baekhyun is my bias wrecker! Honestly at this point he might just be a second bias. My biases usually are similar to me even if I don't know that when I'm intrigued by them before getting to know them, if that makes sense. Baekhyun and I have similar personalities, although he's more outgoing than I am. And with Chanyeol, my bias, we have a lot in common. They are also the two members I was intrigued by the most when I first got into EXO. 9:51 that was Sweet Lies, one of my favorite EXO songs (The Power of Music (The War) Repackage album) [4th album repackage] 11:12 Stronger (Ex'Act / Lotto Repackage album) [3rd album] 14:19 Sweet Lies again, which also plays *again* at 14:58 Baekhyun gets so into choreography! ...I love it! It's interesting because I watched those guides when they were uploaded and I think they could be updated a bit. I wouldn't say D.O. and Baekhyun are the closest, from the way the members act on stage D.O. seems closer to Kai (they are a major EXO ship, notice D.O. looked at Kai before he kissed Baekhyun's forehead in that clip), and Baekhyun seems closer to Chanyeol (the other major EXO ship), although this year he's been spending more time with Sehun, so maybe Sehun now. But the ships are only part of ONE video, so ChanBaek is only in Chanyeol's guide, not both Chanyeol's and Baekhyun's. I think Chanyeol is the biggest scaredy cat in EXO.
