Sir do we always issue shortage from the base stock?...like maybe...there can be a problem where the base stock is out...and then we came to knw abt the shortage...then what do we do?

Check all the transactions of current month if still found shortage, then there is calculation mistake, then you have to check last month transactions and total balance..

Shortage only one-time will be given, it won't give two, at the time of job, if two times shortage comes we have to calculate current day stock where we mistake for calculation, or else check weather it's belongs to day before yesterday shortage..

Your treatment of shortage is absolutely wrong...as the reasons for shortage is not given then we'll treat shortage as normal loss..and normal loss is never borne by customer...by adjusting the amount of normal loss in issue column you made the organisation to bear normal loss....so shortage qty will be deducted from balance colum and total amt of that particular transaction will be divided by leftover units after shortage and then the rate in balance will change...learn account then teach Mr. 🤧🤧
