The D was introduced when I was doing model rocketry as a kid. It was too rich for my blood at the time.

Very cool flight, and thanks for the clip. When life gives you lemons, just use more Estes. Giving Elon's Heavy lift a run. All of his E's lit exept 1. Elon's Starship Heavy lost 3-4? right off the pad first go. I did a 2 stage homebuilt back in 86-87 with 6 D12-'5's(3x3) and thought I had changed mankind, Lol. The thing was gone like a wild bunny, but did get all of it back, and they all lit. I ran small epoxy coated paper body tubes, up to the 2nd stage motors, to channel the charge and light off the upper. A very rudimentary hot staging-ish. I need to get back to the Lucerne Valley area. Have friends at landers and have flown on that little dry lake there by Giant Rock. Plenty of room for Estes or a bit better, with NO hassles from anyone. Been flying there for 15 years without a word ever spoken to me.

Impressive, in a way, but if the goal is to disperse excess funds, I could help Mr. Jamieson and save him a lot of work. However, I do wonder just what he used to ignite them. 51 out of 52 is pretty good.

Crazy clusters like these are meant to be more of a fun novelty than an "impressive" launch attempt. The ignition method is shown in the video.
