Lovely figs. I notice you have a green ribbon/tape that's cutting into the trunk of Col de dame blanc. At least, that's what I think. You are so lucky to live in that area of California. I live in South Tx, and the heat is so intense that I have a hard time keeping the young trees alive. That, and the raccoons and the opossums. Oh, well....
@mylittlefigfarm

Thanks for the tip! Yeah I do have to water my potted figs twice a day in the summer time! They can get dry so fast when the heat is above 100!

your garden is gorgeous. I want to have something like yours but I am in North California, in SFBA and my figs just started swelling. I think it will take them At least another week to be ripen. My older fig trees are mostly generic - Brown turkey, mission and violet de bordeaux. Only this year I started more rare varieties - col de dame, ronde de Bordeaux, yellow neck, cherry cordial. All my I-258 are failed, I will try again this winter. Currently trying to root Figo Preto, wish me luck.
@mylittlefigfarm
@mylittlefigfarm Жыл бұрын
Nice ! Yes I know some variety’s do better up north than others, The I-258 are not the fastest growing for sure and seems to take forever to ripen, I can see how that would be a problem up north! I will be selling on figbid this year under mylittlefigfarm - also Jphotoart message me if you buy any of my variety’s I can throw in another for you ! Good luck rooting it’s such a fun hobby !

How confident are you that panache is pronounced pana-shay? They’re common in Arizona and we always pronounce it pan-osh Tiger Fig. Though we could be wrong!

not very confident! lol maybe 50 50 haha I see ross the fig boss says it the way you described, but I have watched other videos where it was corrected... so lets call it 50/50 confidence lol...

@@mylittlefigfarm lol very well! I just played Webster dictionary word of the day and they pronounced it pan-ash (not pan-osh as we say). Defined as something showy or with style. Would make sense considering it’s stylish look! Who knows lol.

@tyao1111 Жыл бұрын
@@j.perrymanphotography9223 Yes, it is said that it will take about 8 years to become a serving, but in fact, it starts to bear fruit in about 6 to 7 years after planting from seeds. If it is a grafted, it will bear fruit 3 to 4 years after planting.
