Will you bring in soil to level and lift the grade where the greenhouses will be? Where is your water source for all the fruit you plan to grow? What is the composition of the native soil? Ph? And consistency? Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Hello Joan P We will be leveling out a pad for the high tunnels. As for water source we have a well. As for soil pH and consistency at this point, the pad is all clay, so we will be having to bring soil to amend. We saved most the topsoil but we started out with very poor soil. We hope you enjoy the adventure .

I especially love oak trees. It's a shame to cut them down, but they will provide awesome fire wood. Are they diseased?

Jeanne Jett it was a dilemma for us at first but when we start to cut them down we realized that they were infected and it would’ve been a future problem. Also, considering this is a backfill area, they can only handle so much backfill around them before they die.. Our daughters plant acorns and grow oak trees to replant, so we will definitely be planting more along with other trees
