I kick myself every time I see the stilo&stile Prisma! I looked at it that day while at work, on the website, while it was still in stock and it's the first pen that I can't get over, and regret not buying right then and there! 😭 I'm glad it's one of your favorite things this year!

I missed the video about the celluloid pens, but how flammable they are was no surprise to me. They are made from the same material as early photographic and motion picture films. There is a history of movies catching fire while being projected because of the heat from the light source. Most of the theatre deaths were actually cause by people panicing rather than from the actual fire. Celluloid is notoriously difficult (pretty much impossible) to put out even with modern foams and chemicals. That is because classic Nitrate Celluloid actually supplies its own oxygen. Quite fascinating. Love your videos, going now to view your celluloid video.

Great reviews, the Polish made pen looks amazing! Since you like the Sailor Iroshi-zuku inks, have you tried the Sailor x Joyful-2 inks? They are just as vibrant and each bottle is based on a different prefecture in Japan. If you cant find any results, you cans copy paste this and find something: ジョイフル×SAILOR オリジナルご当地インク

That Makar Torpedo is stunning. I have quite slim fingers, so its long slim section would probably be perfect for me. And my favourite inks are purples.

Great overview, David. I had a number of maki-e pens in the past. I enjoyed the artisan workmanship and amazed at the detail and materials used. Just order a Leonardo Momento Zero Grande from Stilo e Stile. Can't wait to have it iny hands. It is the Mosaico model.

The Eggshell pen is very cool; but,of all the pens you've shown over the years I think the "Blue Ripple" is still my favorite. I've tried to like the glittery/swirly acrylics; but,not my preference. Ditto on "demonstrator"/see-through pens. Time for me to go outside and yell at a cloud.

Do you have a recommendation for a practical pen for someone with below average motor control who sometimes pushes much too hard on pens? I much prefer very fine point pens, but if they're too fine I'm prone to bending the nib. I've had the best luck with very fine ballpoint pens because they're harder to break, but as a pen expert I was wondering if you had any recommendations.

How do I get a Skogsy Micarta? Can't find a website for them.
@YT-hv5ro2 жыл бұрын
The i in Japanese is pronounced as an ee sound as in knee in American English. Also, when you have double consonants as in nippon, the first consonant is pronounced as a silent beat, or a slight pause that's the same length as the other sounds of the word you're pronouncing (though take this with a grain of salt, because I'm not fluent yet). Otherwise, now I want to try a Namiki nib thanks to your review.
