This thing looks awesome. And finally, a fountain pen you can write with while practicing parkour! TWSBI makes such dependable pens. My first piston filler was a TWSBI ECO I bought almost 4 years ago. I can let it sit for a year and it still writes on the first stroke. Great review, David! Thank you!

The first fountainpen I ever used was the one at school, a yellow one, I still remember. But the one I ever owned was the one my parents gave me, long time ago. It was orange and gray, I still have it. The second and the next three onces where all Parker fountainpens. After that I bought all kind of fountainpens. Even a Twsbi Eco, several years ago, and that pen serves me still good! The latest fountainpen I bought is the "Van Gogh" by Viscini, the blue version. A wonderful piece of art! I love your reviews, this one isn't an exception. So thank you for your time and effort, and hope you go on for some time. Till the next time!

The 2nd fountain pen I ever purchased is the Diplomat Magnum. What drew me to it was the universal praise it received, and frankly, the psychedelic purple color also steered me towards it. It has been serving me well for the past year or so.

You totally should! You can't go wrong with either the Swipe or Eco. They have the same excellent nib. Get the Swipe if you prefer cartridges/converter filling or the Eco if you prefer piston filling (or both).

Always exciting when TWSBI comes out with a new model. Furthermore, they've created a new ink cartridge design with a generous volume. Perhaps, this will be the new "standard"?

Thanks for the review another great job. I have several TWSBI's and haven't found anything to complain about.. One of my favorite things about them is, the nibs are always wet like Platinum's are.The first Fountain pen I bought on eBay on a whim, it is a 1930s Sheaffer's white dot with a fine 14k nib. It is the best writer I have, perfect feedback and a little flex. It is never not inked. Closely followed by my Pilot Custom 823. The second pen I purchased is a 1950's Parker Duofold new in original box.

How nice to see a new TWISBi! They are truly my workhorses and the pens I try out ink I am not sure I dare to put into my vintage pens. The second fountain pen I bought? It was a Namiki Falcon. It was in 2013 and I had followed an artist Inliked on internet for a while and he drew w a Namiki Falcon. In Sweden it was hopeless to find fountain pens then( or so I thought) so for the first time ever I visited the USA and New York I ran around all the oen shops I could find until I finally wasnlucky to find a Falcon! That pen is my most precious souvenir from that great city! ( My first pen was a Pelikan schoolpen my german schoolmate brought home for us other tweleve year olds and we made big eyes to hear that all the kids in Germany wrote with those-I found it in a drawer some years ago and it still writes wonderfully!)

The only TWSBI that looks like a pen and not like a vaping pipe. The clip is useless and can cause stress cracks or worse around the top of the cap. Mine, purchased outside of the USA in August 2023, was not issued with two converters. It has the spring pump/piston installed and a separately packaged large cartridge and a spring. The plastic body scratches easily, especially when posting! Broad nib, writes smoothly, no hard starts or ink starvation as yet. Thanks for your review.

Aloha David! Excellent review of a nice addition to the TWSBI line. I use a TWSBI GO daily as it's super easy to clean out and this should be just as easy to clean out, but at a higher quality level. To answer your question, I believe the Lamy Vista was my second fountain pen purchase with a scratchy fine nib. Suffice to say, it rarely get's used. Mahalo from Kauai, Hawaii. Thomas

I’ve been following your channel for awhile now and I appreciate your reviews. I’ve been thinking about getting this one and your review helped solidify that decision and I’m excited for the chance of winning one. The second pen I purchased about eight years ago was a Pilot Metropolitan, M, Black. It was my first foray into using ink wells since I had the squeeze converter and I enjoy my growing ink selection to this day. I haven’t looked at Diplomat Inks at all, so I’m also intrigued by their offerings. My colleague went to Atlas Stationers last week and he said it was a great shop! I look forward to my next trip to Chicago to visit in person.

After a bit of a travel-related break from watching KZbin, I come back to find this! I’d love a chance to win this. It took me a while to get a TWSBI, although now I do love them. My second fountain pen was a Kaküno. I chose it because it seemed like a good beginner’s option as a demonstrator, and because the kind folks at the Vanness table at the St Louis Pen Show were willing to show me how to fill my pens using a converter!

This one's a no-brainer for me. Although TWSBI and I have a love-hate relationship, it's mostly love. What frustrates me _so much_ about TWSBI is how they won't address the issue of their plastic cracking. The slightly different grip on the Swipe gives me hope this will be as good if not better than the Eco, and the price cannot be beat. Anyways…love your in-depth pen videos and I'm glad you dissected this one. Thanks!

Thank you for the review. I'm very intrigued, as I own a diamond 580 and like it, and I like the look of this pen. I believe that my second fountain pen was a LAMY Al-star that I purchased on a business to Germany. I didn't know much about fountain pens at that point and was unfamiliar with the brand, but it was inexpensive and available everywhere, and I believe that it was packaged in a plastic "clamshell". And your endorsement of Atlas gives me confidence in purchasing from them. I'm still a newbie when it comes to online stationery shops and have been a little hesitant to try shops unknown to me.

This strikes me as a good pen to use for experimenting with potentially difficult inks, since it is so easy to take apart and clean out. Even the converters can be easily and completely disassembled, and all assembly and disassembly is done without tools.

David, everyone loves their TWISBI pens, but until now I’ve stayed away for a few reasons: a)not that interested in see-through; b)tools or not, don’t want piston filler since running out of ink with converters is an opportunity for a quick clean-up (no tools) and to use a different ink; and c)lots of talk about various models cracking. Yikes! Super excited to FINALLY have an opportunity to win a cartridge converter TWISBI! And the blue one is beautiful. Count me in. By the way, I bought my first two fountain pens at the Fountain Pen Hospital in NYC. First was a Lamy Safari, but the second was a cool looking Conklin Duragraph (Cracked Ice). Still love the Conklin and even recently switched its nib out to a Jowo. Great review. Thanks for a quick turnaround.

That TWSBI totally confirmed my high bar preconceptions about fountain pens and introduced me to the hobby. Very interesting pen, especially the converter with the spring. That you get another, more traditional twist converter is a bonus. I am curious why the spring to hold the cartridge is needed. When I was 11, I was gifted with a Scripto fountain pen. If it lasted a couple of months, it was a long time. My first fountain pen I bought was a Parker 75 when I was 18. I still have the price sticker of $25!! I have gone on to other pens. Would love to try the Swipe.
