While the hermits are preparing for battle, Grian is trying to keep his spirits up and help xumavoid.
In my aus, only watchers who are naturally born can use power anytime. Even though Grian didn't officially become a watcher until after EVO, he was born half watcher. So he can use that power. But converted players like Xumavoid, need to have a mask first. (the masks give non-biological watchers power in my aus) Once they do, they can learn and do watcher magic.
