My Daughter and her husband were at that game too. They are Packers fans and live in Tampa. My son in law was actually wearing his cheese on his head. We are from Hawaii, so being able to watch a NFL team in a NFL stadium is always a treat for us.

I’ve been to one of the Tampa bay packer games in Tampa Bay. Let me just say some of the Tampa Bay fans are not pleasant at all. I understand fans take things seriously, but it’s Unsportsmanlike when they actually took my fathers cheese head hat off his head, and threw it in a fire! Taking somebody’s personal belongings off of them and destroying it is uncalled for! We were not heckling the fans or making remarks or hand motions or anything. We were simply walking as a family, and talking amongst our family about the game, and the pre game/ tailgate we attended, and meet Ray Nitschke! That was my first game I saw Green Bay Packer play. I had went to a Dolphins game before but I got heat stroke. So I’m really not cut out for seeing football games in Florida. Thank you Kyle this was a lovely change!

The theory is that the Green Bay Packers coined the term "tailgating" in 1919, and that's when the term began to be used and associated with modern day American football. Packers fans would park their pick up trucks around the field and sit on the bed.

We moved to FL from Waukesha, WI 33 years ago and went to the Packer game in Tampa that year. Was surprised there were so many Packer fans. Some were on vacation but a lot of people from WI have moved to FL.
