Hello..... i have a question. I want to get exact the same gunstock from ur video (Kobra VR MagLock Pro gunstock) and not the (Kobra VR MagLock Ultra version). It looks much more better as the Ultra version from esty which one we can found on etsy. At etsy we can not buy or find the Maglock Pro version.... why? My question is, where i can find these version and where i can buy it? Please help.... thanks in advance. And my last question will be the Pro version compatible with the controllers from the quest 3?

Kobra VR no longer sells the MagLock Pro, just the MagLock Ultra. The Pro was not compatible with the Quest 3 which is why they updated the design to the MagLock Ultra, so it would work with both the Quest Pro and Quest 3 controllers. They just sent me a MagLock Ultra today to review, so it's going to be a couple weeks before I can get a video made about it.

I'm a little biased, but I think gunstocks are great for increasing immersion and helping steady your aim. Just FYI KobraVR no longer sells this version of their Mag-Lock gunstock because it was not compatible with the Quest 3 controllers. Nope. The Quest 3 controllers track differently so the front controller suffers from occlusion problems with this stock. Meaning you lose tracking and can't aim very well because often times the headset doesn't know the location/orientation of the controller. KobraVR is working on a new Quest 3 gunstock though that should be available soon.

Kobra VR has taken it off their store temporarily to adjust the design a little bit. I guess the fact it looks a lot like a real gun was creating some issues for them. From what I understand the main change is going to be a red or orange muzzle similar to what other companies do for toy guns.

The version in this video, No. But Kobra VR no longer sells the Mag Lock Pro. They now sell the Mag Lock Ultra, which works with both the Quest Pro and Quest 3. They just barely sent me one to review so I haven't tried it out yet. I plan to have a video out on it in the next couple of weeks.

Wow thanks did not expect a review so quick! Really appreciate the effort in doing this. Agree with P90 it's awkward to cater for. Contractors shotguns are awkward, the reload animation is quite picky on shell placement 🤦🏼‍♂️ Glad you liked it overall, we are really happy with how it turned out (and of course you are aware of its particular suitability for the undisclosed next module yet to be seen 👍).

I mean for me I keep my right hand on my rifle and use my left to go under the gun and rack the bolt. Snipers used to do it so you don't take your finger off the trigger

It is not. The tracking on the Quest 3 controllers works differently than both the Quest Pro and Quest 2 controllers, so they don't work with any of the gunstocks Kobra VR currently make. BUT... Kobra VR is actively developing a new stock for the Quest 3 and from what they tell me, they now have a working prototype. They say there's still some fine tuning to do, but they're getting close.

KobraVR no longer sells the MagLock Pro. It was designed to work with the Quest Pro controllers and when the Quest 3 came out people began buying them to use with their Quest 3 controllers. The problem is the way the Mag Lock Pro was designed it obscures your front hand controller. This isn't a problem with the Quest Pro controllers because they have cameras and their own processor and track themselves. The Quest 3 controllers however need to be in view of the headset in order to track properly, so since the MagLock Pro didn't work with the Quest 3, KobraVR decied to pull it from their store. One of their main goals/missions is to provide a flawless VR experience for their customers and even though they tried to make it very obvious the MagLock Pro was for the Quest Pro ONLY, people were still buying it to use with Quest 3 and then complaining it didn't work with the Quest 3. After pulling it from their store they went right to work redesigning the MagLock Pro to work with both the Quest 3 and Quest Pro, so now they sell the MagLock Ultra which you can check out on their Etsy store here. www.etsy.com/shop/KobraVR

This particular model is no longer for sale. However, KobraVR now has a new version called the Mag-Lock Ultra which is compatible with both the Quest Pro and Quest 3. I haven't had a chance to review it yet, but they are sending me one which I do plan to review. That being said I've reviewed pretty much every KobraVR gunstock ever made and they've all been great. They don't put something up for sale unless it's as close to perfect as they can get it.

It really depends on what kind of experience you're looking for. If you're looking for a more realistic simulation experience then I think the Mag-Lock Pro is the way to go, assuming you have a Quest Pro, or at least the Quest Pro controllers. If you're more into playing online multi-player then I'd got with the Quest 2 and either the Sidewinder or one of Kobra VR's Wolverine stocks, i.e. Ultra-lite or DMR.

I have the pro controller with grips, I saw that you were using the silicone grips as well in part of the video, if I am not wrong, are the cups big enough? because I have one old kobraVR desing, the CQB v1, and the cups are a little tight and not super comfortable with grips but I can't play without them. In the video for few seconds I saw the Pro controllers with the Wolverine and a double grip handles instead of the classic configuration (Pro controller doesn't have the ring)... is it a special configuration made for you? because I don't see the option in the website

As of right now, when using the MagLock Pro I don't use the silicone grips on the Pro controllers because the grip handles don't fit the controllers very well with the grips on. I just use the wrist straps. Kobra VR does make larger handles to accommodate silicone grip covers though. On the store they have two versions of most of their stocks. The normal version and "Kiwi" grip version. The Kiwi version has the slightly larger grip handles which are meant to fit controllers with silicone grip covers on them. It's called Kiwi because that's the name of the company that made some very popular silicone covers for the Quest 2 controllers.

That's a Wolverine Ultra-Lite with a grip handle for the right controller rather than the standard controller dock. That handle was something Kobra VR sent over for me to swap onto my Ultra-Lite to try out. As of right now, I don't think they sell them.

Maybe put a picatinny to mlok and then a mlok to picatinny rail onto that to solve the p90 problem so that theres like an extra inch and a half space for it to slide further down

they make short risers that would probably work, but the main hurdle (for non US users) is probably local laws/ITAR restrictions on specific parts. Otherwise I might worry about over torquing and braking the rail since

What is the mod on your Ultralite that let's you have 2 detached handles? Saw it briefly on your explanation of racking the bolt and the grip cups at 3:27.

Falandorn sent that along with the Sidewinder for me to try out and get my opinion on. It's for the Pro Controllers. I tried using it with the Sidewinder and came to the same conclusion Falandorn has that while the Sidewinder can be used with the Pro controllers using that handle the best experience by far with the Sidewinder is with the Quest 2 controllers. I used it for that little clip with the Ultra-Lite just to demonstrate how nice those handles are for bolt action rifles. I would have just used a CQB which has those handles but I don't have one of the current models of the CQB.

Just when I feel like he's got a stock as good as it's possible to get, he comes up with something that makes it even better. 😂 I really like the Ultra-Lite and the Sidewinder literally takes a good thing and makes it better. As far as I know the MagLock version of the Wolverine has been discontinued. I think there were some production issues they were having making them which slowed things down a lot, so they decided to stop selling it. I could be wrong about that though, but I think that is what happened.

Even though the Ultralite is attached firmly, I get worried trying to toss anything with the controller attached to it. Banged too many walls and other obstacles. It shouldn't have to suffer for my sake. I am not good lefty, but I manage. Is it improved with the Sidewinder in your opinion? The grenade throwing with the attached controller that is? If you've learned to go lefty too I'm going to die laughing 😅
