Team DogeHouse and Liquid Value come back, prepped and revised! With new rules set in place, players will now have to explore their new team dynamic with the obligation to play practically every class. With the ace-match series system, players will have to test their individual ability to outplay their opponents. However during the ace match, the support of their team now comes into play: do they trust one another enough to make unanimous decisions or will disagreeing views prevent them from focusing on their opponent's strategy? Casters didn't notice that Gnimsh played his Aldor Peacekeeper before playing equality, securing its death by ping next turn at around 28m.

They did notice, and it wasn't a mistake. They talk about it from 27:00 to 27:30, and say that he doesn't want to just take damage from a Pyroblast and lose. Gnimsh would rather lose a 3/1, than lose straight out from Pyroblast + Ashbringer. Losing a 3/1 was definitely the right play. Edit: Even though Avenging Wrath was way better.

Step 1: Equality. Step 2: Aldor Peacekeeper. Step 3: Attack. Step 4: Consecrate. I've seen opponents on casual mode get that order wrong; I wouldn't expect it from Gnimsh. The Aldor would've traded with the Argus.

The chances of him dying next turn are not very big. He'd attack tirion, play two giants and the peacekeeper on tirion to remove most possibilities for lethal. Next turn he has easy boardclear with equality conc and one giant left+weapon+minions+avenging with 13 hp. Seems like a decent spot compared to the choice he made. I'm not saying hes in a good spot but a way better spot than with the choice he made. Even equality + avenging is better than what he did.

27:00 was also a terrible play. Equality, avenging wrath, and hero ability would have had the same effect while saving a peacekeeper & 1 HP.

I can imagine a couple of reasons. Typically, after the first win you can just look at the video length and make a reasonable guess toward who will win immediately, which sort of fucks everything (this doesn't quite fix that, but sort of attenuates the issue). This format also gives ESGN far more views, because we give then four clicks instead of one.

This is like Trumps F2P mage deck, he's put the pyromancer in the deck with the arcane missiles and it serves the same purpose as arcane explosion. I was trying to figure out how to use arcane missiles effectively and I didn't come up with a great solution like Trump did. I thought of Thalnos :(

So that way he didn't take 5 extra damage when popping the shield so that when consecrate came down it would kill Tyrion instead of getting blocked by the shield.

Its funny they increase 2 mana cost to Pyroblast and mid control, then players starts consider Mage and Priest garbage. If they Increase 2 mana cost to: Swipe, Unleash the hounds, lighting Storm, Consacration, Shadow Flame, GoreHound, Sap. They will say every hero Sucks and will Quit the game. Even considering that though, Trump could've ignored a 3/3 and still have lethal next turn. The Lay on Hands misplay was worse. That was arguably a harder play to understand but it was most likely what cost him the game.
