I'm trying to picture Darren record this in the studio. He's so passionate about any performance he gives and its so breath-taking. What's completely different to picture is his character, Blaine, living it out. Darren gets so in depth to to the person he is portraying that he truly becomes that individual. That being said, I can't picture Darren recording this nearly as well as I can picture him acting the character's emotion out during filming. That is true passion of a genuine actor.

I'm glad that they got a good strong voice to cover this song because a) It's Christina Aguilera, the biggest and best voice around and b) it's my favourite song to which means so much to me. This is really the only Christina Aguilera song they did well at. I love his version. Now when they did Candyman and Beautiful, i couldn't stand to listen to them. It's probably because listening to Christina songs is a curse. You get so used to her magnificent voice that anyone else sounds so....bland and unoriginal.

I like Darren/Blaine's voice, I really do. I like most of his covers. But damn, I think this one wasn't that great, Christina Aguilera's voice is much more powerful. I think Darren (or the writers of Glee, or whoever deals with the covers) should have changed the song to make it more "singable" for him. I can't help but think his voice looks so poor next to Christina's, even though it has a nice tune.

I honestly think that you have to have watched it to feel the emotion, or have some connection to the characters and storyline. I dont disagree with you, its much harder to get emotional over glee covers when you havent seen the videos - I personally adore the glee versions and could listen to them all day long, but I get your point of view! They mean more to different people in different ways :)

Have you heard her song Save Me From Myself? That song really shows how amazing is Christina when she let those vocal acrobatics out and just sings with hear heart. She's a very emotional singer, but she feels like she has to do all the acrobatics just to proof she can sing (specially since she started like a Teen Pop singer like Britney or Mandy, but she can actually sing).

The problem with that is that now people are saying that only certain characters have gone through tough times. Blaine has gone through some tough times, he just doesn't tell everyone about it. We all go through tough times. He has the issue of trying to live up to his brother and be in his shadow. I can relate to that because I have a sibling. He has as much of a right to sing this song as any other character. Plus Blaine doesn't get to express his feelings much so this was a nice change.

I am glad that my favorite singer from Glee made cover of my favorite artist ever.Christina is diva with great voice and awesome songs and definitely deserves more covers in Glee. Anyway, I can't say either this song is better or worst than the original, its just different, both are great in their own way and I am happy about that.
