Breidis is the only one who brought it to Usyk, toe to toe and almost a close fight. brilliant boxer

Maybe in points, in terms of damage and danger, Murat gassiev caught him with nasty body hooks eventually making him react like he got hit with low blow which it wasn't, he just got hit in liver and was in pain, as well ass right hands upstairs, one of which made usyk stumble and grab him to clinch

Briedis is such a great fighter. Gave Usyk his closest fight with great counters and effective technical pressure. Also showed how special Usyk is in beating a very skilled fighter in Briedis. Briedis was also able to outbox the power puncher in Darticos showing how he can fight a range of styles and it looks like he may get a rematch vs Opetaia which was a great first fight. He's past his best and if he wins the rematch that would be quite an achievement. In making a list of my top 5 head to head fighter's in each division for Cruiserweight it was: 1. Evander Holyfield, 2. Oleksandr Usyk, 3. David Haye, 4. James Tony, 5. Mairis Briedis. How would people change that list?

Colour this in black and white and we have a 50's classic. The WBSS was amazing. Not only for the fights it gave us but for how it was showcased. Such a shame its dead now, I guess Kalle didn't make enough off it to feed his... Still, the WBSS will be down in history and many years from now, people will be telling their grandkids about it.

Not a draw, Usyk really landed more in total + jabs, briedis had about 20 more power punches in total, hence 114-114 by one judge, the other 115-113 is legit, cause thats actually what the stats show afterwards, usyk won 7 rounds, briedis 5...
