No he not 😂 he’s basically saying you have to want to sit in the pocket and exchange with heavier punchers. No you don’t lol. Shakur is an Olympian, 3 division champion, highest +/- in boxing. One of the most efficient fighters in boxing. He obviously knows how to play to his strengths. The goal is to make the fight as easy as possible, not prove how tough you are, take punches that you don’t have to take, just to prove you can beat someone that way. Because those punches add up, the fighters you praise today will have speech problems in 15 years because they didn’t have the IQ, or ability to make the fight easy.

Floyd is arguably the best defensive fighter ever and he definitely knew how to let the dog out and press the action when needed.shakur’s amateur style just doesn’t have dog in it.

Dog is physically and mentally beating your opponent. When there face is red like a potatoe, they have only landed 13% of punches, and you are up off the stool with 10 seconds to go in the 11th round and they are gasping for more time, more water, more coaching because they have no answer. That is dog. Anybody can decide to trade, making it a 50/50 chance. Less than 10% of boxers can do what Shakur does. There’s a reason you more stand and bang and not as much pure boxing skill in the game. It’s not by choice.

Boxing casuals got such a short term memory. So Shakur wasn't a dog when he fought Herring or Nakatani?? He came straight forward and beat both of them up. Plus he has called out everybody from Tank to Devin, but he's not a dog. Tell your favorite fighter to beat him then. Only issue is Shakur just need to let his hands go more, which he has done at times.

@@36983 hes afraid of power punchers that arent way smaller than him, the african fighter and dela santos had him fighting the same exact way, hed rather jumper 3 steps back when he sees your shoulder move instead of slip, or roll a punch and counter like floyd, thats what seperates him from great fighters, all great fighters counter punched well no matter who they fought, tank counters power punchers, duran did, leonard did, canelo does, shakur is always gnna be in a boring fight against power punches because hes afraid of getting put to sleep so hell run.

No they’re expressing themselves as fans about what a fighter they like doesn’t have and so far Shakur hasn’t shown he got dog in him just yet. Simple! Shakur says he’s better than Floyd is when Floyd was at that age but Pretty Boy was a dog with all the skills Shakur got all the skills but no dog. Mostly all the greats got that dog in them.

@ I agree wit some things u said. But I don’t agree with this running narrative that people love to throw out there. There’s rules in boxing. One of those rules is to never punch with a puncher. Something Devon Haney had to find out the hard way against Ryan. Out boxing somebody and controlling distance and having a high IQ to do so should never be considered running. See the problem is we focus on that narrative so much instead of not criticizing the fighter that’s not able to cut off the ring.

@ And the last power puncher he fought why is it he don’t get the credit for surviving and win a fight against a power puncher with one hand? Why are we not instead criticizing his opponent that wasn’t able to take a vantage of a fighter that could only use one hand. And when it comes to him losing fans, one thing for sure is rather you like him or you don’t they still going to pay to see him lose if it’s not to see him win.

I’ve always said this bout Shakur is his IQ great absolutely but his head movement isn’t all that well from what I’ve seen so far. He needs to take more risk of skill not saying bang it out but taking chances an if he does get hit with a heavy shot how does he recover a what his chin is like. All the greats took risk especially Floyd when he rumbled cotto an the drunken master an still came out on top 💯
