The real story is this.... Tank and Ryan agreed to fight at 135 for Tanks belt. They worked out that each figher will have a Tune up fight. The tune up was supposed to get Ryan back down to 135 and keep him there for the fight with Tank. Ryan opted out of that Tune up and Blew up since his last fight. Instead of pushing the fight back Ryan negociated for a Catchweight to give him some elbow room incased he missed the weight WBA wasnt having it so the took the title off the table. Tank was already close to the weight cause he fought his Tune up so he opted for a Rehydration Clause so they both can try to rehydrate from the same weight. before fight. Ryan said he rehydrated to 146 24 hrs after the Fontura fight so that was fine.

His cornerman explained everything on a interview on Fighthype as well, Haney was hurt and surprised by the left hook he got hit seconds after in the 1st round. His cornerman said he wanted to show Ryan to much that ‘Oke, you catched me..I’m gonna catch you to.” He said something like that. But Haney couldn’t get to Ryan or hurt him, even with the bad shoulder roll Ryan was doing he said Devin couldn’t hit him anywhere so the shoulder roll looks bad but it worked for him he said. And Haney has troubles with fighting on the inside, he should’ve fought Ryan on the outside like he mostly do in his fights.

I think when he took the point away it was a good expert call because Devin was out on his feet before the illegal blow. By taking the point away the action was able to start right away. During a warning ‼️ the ref has to ask the other fighter if they can continue right away and if Devin decided he couldn’t, then time would be given to recover from the illegal blow. That 1 point deduction was in Ryan’s favor keeping the action and momentum going. 🥊 #hofreferee
