Way above Jordan’s status, Jordan is definitely one of the greats no questions asked but there are other on his level and even considered possibly better. There is no one on Floyd’s level in and out of the ring, he is the smartest and most skilled boxer in boxing history and there is no denying that one bit. He makes bouts look easy even against some of the supposed greatest boxers like Canelo. He literally played with Canelo like a child and Canelo is still considered the best in boxing right now. He did that with many top boxers.

@@James_Edward59 wouldnt you say that Canelo today has improved since the Mayweather fight and that he would be a better Challenge as he is now.
@Khuyayn

@@James_Edward59 he didnt make it look easy against Maidana, De la Hoya and Cotto. He was the clear winner but they were not easy wins like the Gatti fight. I dont know if he is the smartest boxer but he was smart in choosing fights. A small Marquez, Pacqiaou when he and Floyd himself were out of their prime, an irrelevant Berto as a last fight, Cotto who had seen better days but was champion, a faded Mosley who gained momentum from beating Margarito when Floyd should have been the one fighting Margarito (I know he is a damn cheat). And then a 22 year old delusional Canelo who really thought that he could beat Floyd.

When roach said he feed manny some extra info to hype him up more. I knew Floyd won the mental game. If waiting 5 years wasn't enough and being accused of taking roids (which I think manny was juicing 2008-2011) isn't enough to hype you up idk from a competitive stand point what will

He definitely was, Freddie Roach in an interview said it himself, as soon as Mayweather asked him to take a drug test as a condition, Manny got scared and didn’t want to fight anymore.

Virgil really struggled with that first question, and he never struggles. After a lifetime training Andre Ward, I would think it's very hard to get "UP" to train less than A+ fighters. The only thing special about Berto to Virgil is that check.

Hunter is virtually useless in-between rounds though. He gives no advice on what to actually do in the coming round. He just tries to fill his fighters head full of belief which is good of course but as a trainer you should be spotting patterns of the opponent during the fight and look for openings and advising your fighter on how to capitalise on that. I never see him giving this kind of advice, maybe it's just his style but it always seemed a little strange to me. When you're not in the ring, you see things objectively and things your fighter may not be seeing up close.

All that shit he is saying has nothing to do with boxing... psychological or what ever... that dont mean shit when it comes time to throwing them hands... reason he wins is they cant hit him and even if they do he can take a punch. I love how people say mayweather cant punch but if you watch every fight he has had they stop coming forward... dont care who it is... they start back peddling... and if his hands were not prone to breaking every time he fights ... i wonder if he would have knocked out all of them.

+Sean J It may not make a huge noticeable difference because Floyd is so good anyway, but even if it gives an extra 1% difference, it's still an advantage. Plus many guys have gone out of their usual styles and trying to chase Floyd around the ring and land a big shot that never comes. He's too difficult to beat even when you're fighting in a style that is natural to you, so once his mental games have got you fighting in a style that isn't natural to you, then you have literally no chance against a guy as good as him. It all helps. But you're right in the other ways, he is just too good either way. He has deceptive power too. If he didn't, then big strong guys like Canelo, Cotto, a 154 De La Hoya etc would have walked through him, but they couldn't because they didn't like what they felt on the counters. He made Pacquiao gun shy with 2 right hands in the first round, i don't think they necessarily hurt him but he knew there was a bit of power there should he walk into one a la Marquez. No power is a guy like Malignaggi, he could box beautifully in his prime, had a great jab as good as anybody and good movement but top level strong guys could find a way through him eventually because he had nothing to keep them off him, but Floyd had enough. He could have had more knockouts, he just rarely sits down on his punches.

Floyd was a knockout artist in his prime as Pretty Boy Floyd, if it wasn’t for his hands, he would of knocked out a lot of boxers the 2nd half of his career. Honestly though, Floyd is a genius when it comes to boxing and psychological war fare and I think the truth is that he doesn’t want to knock anyone out. Most people don’t realize, hardly anyone ever asks Floyd for a rematch unless it’s just about money and they know they are going to lose, the reason they don’t is because he purposely takes them the distance, wears them out and outboxed them and humiliated them. No one wants to go through that again especially when in their head they know they got defeated by a far better boxer, when you knock people out, they get the idea that they can beat you next time and you just got lucky.

Virgil Hunter bring a very interesting perspective, very astute in the psychology of boxing. Freddie and Manny lost the Mayweather Jr fight before the first bell even rang to start the fight, they lost the fight at the negotiating table. Acquiescing to all of Floyd's demands proved to me that Manny was ok with losing the fight, all he was interested in was the pay day.

Imran Ali The Vegas judge was on crack. He lost 3 of the last 4 rounds on 2 of the judges cards and all 4 on the other judges cards. For him to have on he would've had to win 7 rounds which means he needed to win 6 of the first 8 rounds and there is no way on God's green earth he did that man. Ray Charles could see that man and Emmanuel Steward didn't say it could've gone either way

Imran Ali I watched it again a couple of weeks ago and that fight was nowhere close to a draw man. Oscar clearly lost 3 of the last 4 rounds and maybe all 4. How in the fuck do you give him 6 rounds? He stopped using his jab after about the 8th round and that's when he lost the fight. If Floyd wins 3 of the last 4 rounds then that means Oscar won 5 or 6 of the first 8, that is impossible man and if you scored it like that then you have no clue how to score a fight. Emmanuel said that there are 2 ways to score a fight and that fight some judges favor aggression and other judges favor effective clean punching. It wasn't his opinion he was giving dumb ass. Stop trying to twist shit to fit your purpose.
