Few updates! 1) For the Treasure riddle it can apparently be anything of value. Beetle, port crystal, ferrystone, etc. It's recommended using a Portcrystal as it'll duplicate whatever you put in granting you a frew one. 2) For the parent Sphinx Parent, Sphinx Mother, and Sphinx Father all work. 3) For the Vergil puzzle and the pot puzzle you can pick up Vergil and the pot NPC and just use a ferrystone to warp back to the sphinx completing both of those much easier than using the phial or making the arduous journey carrying the amphora.

Omg i also just noticed this, Im fairly certain that for every riddle you complete a purple eyeball appears on her peacock feathers! I got her recollection riddle as my final riddle, therefore 9 eyes on her feathers! can anyone else confirm if this is true?

You can have her duplicate the jadeite orb to satisfy both NPC's that ask for it. This way you don't have to give a fake (or nothing at all) to the other NPC and get their full reward and make everyone happy.

Took me 15 mins tops, look around Melve and Borderwatch as thats the start of the game and the earliest you can find the tokens. Mine was on a hill with goblins and harpys just outside of Melve

for both of the people quests the dante/vergil or the pot u can just go to the person pick them up and then ferrystone back to the sphinx if u put a portcrystal so just put a port crystal and start teleport yoinking

PSA!! If you've been saving up on ferrystones + the 3 she gives you, here is what you do during the second set of puzzles. 1. Set a waypoint at Checkpoint Rest Town and Her Shrine (Hopefully you have 2 of those) 2. Teleport to Checkpoint Town after she gives you the virgil riddle. 3. Buy a beast mask from checkpoint vendor, if you are human 4. use the cart + mask to get into town 5. Teleport Virgil back to Her when you see him ( i recommend staying in Cart till you get to his location, you might get attacked if you come out too early) 6. Do the same thing for the last riddle. 😁

For the Amphora Riddle of Futility: You can actually fast travel with Ser Maurits who’s in Bakbattahl by the Sphinx mural. Pick him up and fast travel with him to the site and place him down next to the Amphora to complete the riddle. No need to stress carrying a fragile vase . As for obtaining the key around her neck, I’ve only read this is the “Final riddle” and you must equip Wayfarer or Archer vocation with a bow and the Unmaking Arrow in your inventory. Using the unmaking arrow to kill her is seemingly the only way to get the key that’s around her neck to unlock the big chest behind her. You can also buy an Unmaking arrow to have in case you miss your first shot. Inside the big chest is an Eternal Wakestone the only one in the entire game, which allows you to revive multiple fallen allies or NPCs all at once. She will also drop a lot of gold upon dying.

The seeker token one is so brutal. I'm doing 2 playthroughs on different consoles and my first one I got one pretty early so I have an idea, but the 2nd character I think was maybe in one of the caves for the early story quests or somewhere in between. And you get a 7 day time limit to make it even worse.

level up the trickster to get his augment that makes seeker tokens have an audio cue and a flash! Then just go to Melve/Borderwatch outpost and your first should be somewhere around there. Hope this helps! Good Luck.

If you get the detection augment from rank 2 of the trickster vocation I heard that also detects the finder's token. It helps a ton with finding seeker's tokens and wakestone shards so if it works for the finder's token too then it should help a lot. This probably doesn't help you at this point but I'm hoping if others read your comment this might be helpful. Definitely use one of the interactive maps that are online for this game to see where all of the seeker's tokens are.

7:49 Don't need a golden beetle specifically. I think it requires any "yellow rarity" item (ones that give a jingle + have yellow notification on pickup) because I offered it a ferrystone and that solved the riddle.

I initially thought of offering her a Portcrystal, but that triggered a "are you sure" prompt, so I cancelled that and went for ferrystone instead.

For those who don’t want to use the arrow on the sphinx, attack it from behind. Too much damage to the head and chest will force it to leave. There’s a wall and pot that shows you an image of this.

@@FightinCowboy Yes, I had just tried this and rested at an inn beforehand. If you hit her in the wing/side with the arrow it'll kill her properly. I did that just after the 10th riddle was done so I got all rewards.

For anyone wondering: It DOES work even if Vergil is DEAD. You just need to bring him, dead or alive (and revive Vergil if you want at a later, I did because I felt bad) but you don't need him alive at all. Here's what happened to me: I had used all my Ferrystones thinking I had one for the second location (I didn't have one to spare as they were all in big cities), and I was already bringing the guy for the Futility challenge in the phial. I grabbed Vergil and went around the north path, following the river (he died when I threw him from the bridge down to this shallow river LOL) and then just dragged and threw his body around until I reached the Sphynx. Once I had reached the spot, I realized I was out of Wakestones and only had 2/3rds for another one, so I just tried turning it in and it did work! Edit: Since I'm here, thanks for the guide, Cowboy! You made this way less of a pain than it should have actually been. Just leaving my two cents hoping it helps someone else too!

Heads up: Portcrystals are reusable. Simply pick them up when you're done. In other words, don't be afraid of picking up a bunch and setting them down to solve the quest easily - that's what they're good for.

Think it could ask for Dante or Vergil but there hair is different, you can just grab them and use a ferrystone while there will alive though , also it dont not have to be a gold bug you give, it can be a number of things such as a wake stone or port crystals .

I assume this isn't helpful now but it might be to someone else. The detection augment from the trickster vocation detects the finder's token as well as seeker's tokens and wakestone shards. You only need to get to rank 2 of trickster to get that augment. Also an interactive map for the game where you can see where the seeker's tokens are is helpful. It might help you remember or I've you an idea of the location or mission you got it during.

- Riddle of RECOLLECTION - It IS NOT how many riddles you have solved, but how many riddles were possible to solve. I didn't get the "go to where you found the first seeker token" riddle, i couldnt remember. So I didnt count that one in the total. It was wrong, and the sphinx flew away. So riddles you may have got wrong still count as "riddles you've solved".

The seeker token quest is probably my least favorite in the entire game. That quest single handedly brought me out of my immersion making me remember it was just a game. It felt a chore to do. It the only time where I had to take a break because I couldn’t find my token and I’m scared to start again incase I run out of time.

Why not just put down a Portcrystal at the Sphinx and throw Vergil over your shoulder then ferrystone to the Sphinx. And also go to the npc you need to give the vase (pot) to and grab him. Ferrystone to the Sphinx. No need to waste the sealing phile or kill anyone.

If you max affinity for someone, you can carry them as long as you want. So you could max affinity for Virgil. Or… use a port crystal… 😂 I have tried to use the Sealing Phial, but cannot get it to work at all… anyone got any ideas?

You lose max HP the more damage you take, that HP can't be healed by anything, only way to get it back is by resting (either at an inn or by camping).
