haha thanks, it is a great and super fun reel to fight these medium size fish, the second drag makes it very good to fly line live bait and also easier and more exciting to set the hook. You'll do great! cheers.

love to see spinning reels in action, with the advancement of of drag materials and drag up to 65lbs in some reels its much easier to cast further spinning reels is the way to go. Only no rail fight its pure

Exactly, they are great and can handle monster tuna, marlin... as conventionals. It's funny how some people still give me hate comments and dirty looks for using spinning reels here in SoCal, I've got the classic "oh your coffee grinders, your girl reels and last time they asked me if I bought my reels at Toys are Us hahahah, I just laugh. And yes, no rail fight, just a different technique, pump and reel, a belt helps a lot. Cheers!

I've never heard of the Quantum Cabo 120 but I just searched a bit and it seems to be a great reel, just curious about the drag, is it smooth? I like how smooth the drag is in my Saragosas, would be interesting to try those Cabos but haven't even seen them at stores here in SD,

I tried and caught a 35lb yt last aug after i bought the reel. I checked the specs on even the gears are steel and not brass like others very good ceremic drag and the only wish is the spool to be bigger for just mono line for bigger fish. The drag was very smooth I had 65lb braid with 40lb top floro about 20 yds I was so impressed and everybody came over to see me fight the fish cos it was slow and wont the FP. I was so im pressed I bought another and also a spare reel and just loaded the spare with 40 lb mono and the other with 80lb braid and a 50lb top. I will be ready for my 10 day trip in Oct.

Reel, Shimano Thunnus--NOT made in China, but Japan, heavy heavy drag settings, they are the shit-for sure. And it's a "Thunnus" whick allows a free spool setting, turn the crank and the reel engages, you can't beat em IMO.

He is getting line back. He just doesn't have drag maxed out so he doesn't snap his line and lose the fish
